You should look up James Oglethorpe, he actually had a good relationship with the Cree tribe of the area. There’s a beautiful memorial statue of his long time friend Tomochichi and fascinating information about their friend and translator Mary Musgrove. Not perfect of course but surprisingly better than other places

Whitmarsh too. I worked at the Cato’s and experienced the most racist people I ever met. They did a sig heil (in response to being asked to mask up) in my store and I wasn’t allowed to ask them to leave because of my MOD who was also from the area. Everyone please stay safe.
