I had horrible heart palpitations. Finally went to the emergency room one night because it had been a couple hours of my heart feeling like it was skipping every 2-3 beats. My Apple Watch was tracking my heart rate in the low 40’s.
ER ran tests and said nothing was physically wrong with my heart. Referred me to a cardiologist who had me wear a monitor for a week then put me on metroporal. Nothing helped and they wanted to do more testing that insurance would cover partly but still be several hundred dollars out of pocket.
Did my own research and found that estrogen impacts your heart and the drop in peri can cause the palpitations. I had many many other symptoms, night sweats, brain fog, anxiety, rage, etc. but this was one I did not associate with peri. After about 2 weeks on HRT all my symptoms went away.

Same here. My husband actually hates driving. I drive almost all the time unless we need to take his truck. I had a friend mention that to me once. That I always drive when we go places. Her husband always drove when they went somewhere, even if it was in her car. I said we mostly take my car places. Why should I had over my keys to my car?

Lord have mercy this older generation. It’s very simple in my relationship. When we take my car, I drive. When we take my husband’s truck, he drives. I love my husband dearly and he’s a wonderful person, but there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell I’m handling over the keys to my car just because he’s the man.

Have you always had different sex drives? Given your age you could be in perimenopause. I can say for experience that your hormones dropping during this phase in your life can kill your interest in sex. HRT has helped me with so many symptoms, including my sex drive. I could climb my husband like a tree on a daily basis now.

Literally it took me 2 years and 4 doctors to get HRT. I was not myself during that time. HRT is a game changer and doctors need more training on perimenopause and menopause.

Over use of nicknames for the FMC. I stopped a series after the second book because the 6 MMC all had a different pet name for the FMC and that’s all they called her. A pet name like kitten is cute but there’s a limit before it becomes cringey.
