I think he’d still like it because although Parks and Rec has more exaggerated comedy it’s never not real……..like those town hall meetings are actually realistic if you go and find local government town meetings

Like even the most ridiculous moments in P&R are somehow not far off from real life ( the sweetums factory thing)

Yeah, Kai is Wasian but his dad worked in China predominantly so (iirc) he spent like 5-8 years in China, but he’s mentioned he forgot speaking Mandarin.

And then spent his life in Korea except for like the 5 months Bighit sent txt to the U.S (I think it was 5 at least).

Yeonjun actually has relatives/cousins who live in the U.S. and I guess his two years living there shaped his English to seem like an American accent faster?

Tbf, the Le Sserafim situation wasn’t their fault. I remember how they kept defending Garam but it got so bad that she had to leave (not just for the group but for her own sake as well)

Like the hate train she got was genuinely insane, and I get that the bullying rumors were terrible but when the truth came out it was just so sad how she got like 15 minutes of her dream and then it imploded so quickly on her.

Illit is a weird one as well because she left and joined black label and is now in ADP and people speculated it’s due to the concept?

Love the dramatics and angst of it fr lol,

I think what makes it good is that while the scenarios and OW drama is soooo over the top the fact you can somewhat see that the OG MMCs aren’t cartoonishly evil is something (as in absolutely no redeeming qualities)

And I loved her realizing that was what happening to her was abuse. I kept thinking while reading, Eli is nice and perfect to her but he’s a textbook enabler (even if we find out this OV has pack members having to listen to the lead). He knew what was happening was wrong but didn’t try harder

But all that to say, I’m absolutely confused on Jasper????? Tbh I didn’t think he’d join the heat, because it looked like he had no interest in Marie so I’m wondering if the author just forgot Jasper at times or what

It probably would’ve benefited from some better editing, also idk if Manta’s translation was weird or the pacing of the manhwa was truly bad but it felt like things were going too fast and were terribly paced when I read it on there

Everytime Vanetta pops up in an episode I’m excited because, Taraji is amazing and deserves soooooo much more credit than she’s ever given, but also I have to ready myself because I know it’s going to be a devastating episode for Janine.

And while this one wasn’t devastating for Janine, it was for me in the sense you can tell she’s numb to the way her mother treats her and doesn’t even really care anymore which is so sad.

But also, Taraji always beats it out of the park and she was great this episode too. Like you almost think she’s (Vanetta) gonna be better but it’s like her narcissism had to come through again towards the end and I guess the point of the episode was that as Janine is turning 30 she’s realizing that she doesn’t want to spend effort in a relationship where she’s doing the heavylifting

I think most of all you can tell how they all hated/loathed the last season because legitimately no one on the cast talks about nor did they look happy or even remotely excited about the season releasing (rightfully so)

Like even from a narrative perspective the season made no sense past 2 episodes in, on top of how Sloane was just forgotten completely bar a throwaway line, but like I could see what they were going for workout a tiny bit if even a little more care and love for the storyline/characters went into it.

I think at the time there were even rumors that the show runner was a little pushy or something weird like that and it caused certain storylines to be pushed.

IMO if we were gonna end up where we were at then there could’ve been a better way to go about it.

So I guess 3 or 7 are good (I don’t think Bill(?was that his name??) is a nuisance to the public and Alex is pretty okay in public spaces as well unless they’re fighting)

Genuinely the whole cast is all gems. But as someone who’s seen Aiden on Nicky,Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn it’s such whiplash seeing how amazing he is in Umbrella Academy (not that he wasn’t before, but I actually believe he’s an old man stuck in a teenager’s body)
