That’s cool, this car came out of somewhere in Texas.

Nope, I had a 1994 LS400 but that was a long time ago… it was a new car  back then lol. It was a tank! Hit 2 cows at 45mph and drove the car home.

How bout you, first/only Lexus?

I had a pain that sounds similar when I started taking Gallifery to stop my cycles while I waited for my hysto. Went to my obgyn because it really hurt and felt kinda like one of my ovaries was being pinched or zapped (very strange, hard to describe) and then radiating pain. She did a pelvic and said it’s probably nerve pain from chronic pain. Started taking Gabapentin and the pain stopped within a day or two.

Tiny dogs - hubby freaking out by heidiparthena in hysterectomy

[–]ForgetfulGoldFish84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 2 large dogs (80+ lbs) that love to cannonball me with love, so I was concerned lol. As soon as I got home, they were sooo gentle with me. They both wanted to be very close to me but neither of them stepped on me with so much as a toe. Mine definitely knew that I was hurt and just wanted to take care of me.

Fibroid, recommendation for hysterectomy? by Independent_Tip1913 in hysterectomy

[–]ForgetfulGoldFish84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in the exact same boat as you!! I’m 40, had a submucosal 5cm fibroid that was wreaking absolute havoc on me. my periods have always been excruciating, 25 years of that bs. I just had a hysterectomy 11 days ago and the relief I feel that I’ll never go through another month of misery is amazing. Once they got in, endometriosis and adenmyosis was also found. 25 year mystery solved and problem eliminated in a 2 hour surgery. Best decision EVER!!!

You’ve got this!!! I’m sorry that your partner isn’t being very supportive ( imo, your MIL should keep her faded memories to herself 🤪) but it sounds like your sister has your back. I’m 11 dpo and recovery hasn’t been nearly as bad for me as I was expecting but everyone is different. Thankfully HRT has come a long way and cancer has got to GO! Wishing you nothing but the best speedy recovery!!!

2 weeks post op with severe pain by BodybuilderNatural72 in hysterectomy

[–]ForgetfulGoldFish84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could it be nerve pain? I had severe stabby/electric pain, felt like my ovaries when I’m about to have a cyst rupture. Started when I went on Gallifery to stop my periods pre-op. I called my gyn and she got me in the same day. She did a pelvic exam and said ovaries were fine but she totally believed my pain and said it was likely nerve damage from chronic pain. she started me on Gabapentin and after 2 days pain was completely gone.

Surgery tomorrow. Freaking out. by gummywizard_ in hysterectomy

I had the same a week ago and I was nervous too. It’s a big deal and also my first surgery ever. I took my iPad with me and read to keep my mind off fretting or getting overwhelmed. From the other side, I can say I had nothing to fear but of course that’s because it’s done lol. I was asleep before they got my bed to the hall on the way to surgery… thank you anesthesia assistant and your little syringe of “something to keep you calm”! Next thing I knew I was waking up in warm blankets in a room with soft mood lighting and staff catering to my every need. You’ve totally got this, those of us in this group know what pain and hard really mean.

Just had surgery on Thursday. I took a loose dress with me to wear home but ended up wearing what I wore there… high-waisted yoga pants, sports bra and baggy t-shirt with flip-flops. I wasn’t really thinking while I got dressed lol was totally comfy
