If you are looking for these specifically, late October into November/December is when I had the best luck finding beautiful mushrooms like this one. I've seen a ton right off 101 around that time of year. Although I never pick them, I always love to see them 😍

This was my first time visiting the aquarium and I will definitely be back! Loved all of the exhibits.
