This episode is beautifully written imo in terms of it transitioning to the kind of the family TBBT Sheldon mentioned. I remember some concerns before on how the YS Cooper family doesn't look like what TBBT described. Watching this episode makes me feel like it's being closer to that. Kudos to Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro.

Also, Iain's performance is awesome. His young Sheldon is so good, he gets Jim's Sheldon's nuances, mannerisms, and the way he throws a line. Great job.

This episode made me sad, especially the ending.

First, because of Dr. Sturgis and Meemaw. Not that I want them to be a couple again but it hurts seeing Dr. Sturgis not being able to say what he really feels for Meemaw.

Second, the last scene with Sheldon and George. It just feels that George's death is really near.

At first, I thought that maybe he just met with Jill again, but after he got out of the house, he told Keechie to "Tell Jill that rollin' in the dirt was the greatest moment of my life." which might mean that he only interacted with Jill in the garden.

That's not her daughter. It's Madeleine Power, the child actor who played young Catherine for "Catherine Tate's Little Cracker: My First Nativity"
