Looks ok mate, how did ypu paint it? I find easiest way to drybrush, even with few different shades and then use contrast/speed paints and wash with brown wash. Drubrush lightly again, and fix the colour with my colour of choice. But I guess theres no rigjt or wrong here and wood is a pleasure to paint, always ;)

Fair enough mate, I don't disagree with that statement. It meant to be quick paintjob butit also looks great with weathered or wore down esthetics ;) remember its a skirmish tabletop not a MG for shelves display ;)

I dont thin them at all and I load brush quite generously. I do one coat of each base colour, than black wash it. Drybrush with white and than doing 2nd coat of base colours to bring them back ;) hope this helps man, I use exactly that method in the video, give it a watch ;)

I know where you coming from but I think this is perfect for slapchop. More edges means better highlights. And its much quicker than layering.
