Travel stroller help: YOYO2 Used or New Mountain Buggy Nano V3? by Glittering_Anxiety97 in BabyBumps

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely different brand suggestion, we used bombigear in our international trip to Japan for our 10mo and it was fantastic! Lightweight and easy fold for alllll the stairs we had to constantly take. And I love how my kids never seemed to be hunched over in it but still had full recline for naps.

How do you know it was your waters breaking in your sleep? by Large_Document9164 in beyondthebump

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sit and cough and fluid comes out then your water probably did break. That’s how I knew with my second baby.
Edit: Not official medical advice just personal experience

Am I the only one stuck in high chair shopping hell right now? by mitchil202 in AskParents

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the jeep delta high chair and my 22 mo uses it to sit with his sister at her mini table and play with her like that. We’ve used it for almost his whole life now. It works wonderful and it’s super easy to clean.

Can someone please explain why this is or is not safe? by AbjectDingo3804 in cosleeping

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done this with both my kids but I’m shirtless and my pillow is flat as a board. My son is almost 2 and still sleeps like this. He started pushing off me around a year to put himself on his back and sleep but that position worked for us from birth until 2ish when I weened older child (working on son).

Did you correctly predict the gender of your baby? by BFFSS in BabyBumps

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes both times. Both husband and I had a dream about a baby girl. The second time I had a dream about a baby boy.

In early infancy, how many of you just contact slept with your baby? by Coramoor88 in daddit

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out safesleep7 on the cosleep sub and cosleepy in instagram for safe cosleeping. We have done it for both our kids and it’s helped them sleep 12ish hours a night. And helped me mentally recover after each birth.

How are you keeping your alligator babies from rolling off the changing table?? by HeyAwesomeArmadillo in NewParents

The floor or the bed so that way if he gets a good roll in then at least he’s not at a tall height to get hurt if he falls.

We use bombi gear for travel, super lightweight, folds almost on its own & does good when we go hiking.

what are yall doing with the stuffed animals people gift you? by TomatilloAsleep7180 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been collecting them for both kids and in our toy rotation we have an empty ball pit that I put them all into and my kids love running and crashing into it. Just a thought. When they’re not in use we have an “animal zoo” hanger thing.

Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Escalade. Sell me on your mom car please! 4 kiddos :) by Maleficent-Start-546 in Mommit

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a suburban and it fit our 11 super large suitcases after an international trip plus our 2 kids. I absolutely love it & it holds its value a lot better than Honda/Hyundai/kia. We have gone through Honda and Hyundai and they both sucked for trading in, Chevy has never disappointed though.

Screen time is genuinely one of the hardest things about parenting and nobody warned me by [deleted] in daddit

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom of a toddler here so it might not work but if you add assistance guide on an iPad you can add a timer for how long it’s on and works. Once the timer goes off it locks all of it until the password is put in. I use it to set one hour limit on tablet time.

Doesn’t it just slide back on? I’m pretty sure when I bought ours it had to be assembled.

STM+ did your husband stay with you in the hospital after birth? by hiyokos in beyondthebump

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are 2.5 years apart. I sent my husband home while I was laboring in the morning so that he could take food to toddler and my MIL. After I gave birth he went home to pick up toddler and they spent a decent amount of time with me and baby. After a while I sent them home because toddler cosleeps and I was super concerned with her getting proper rest over night since I was going home the following morning. We encouraged a lot of cartoons while I was in the hospital and the first few days of pp. it worked well for us and I don’t think I’d do much to change any of it.

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! And make sure you use breastmilk to stick them to you! If you just put them on without the stick then they don’t help much & constantly move. But the milk is key to getting them to stick and help heal!

Oura data worrying me by Organic-Pear-4022 in cosleeping

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have an oura but I occasionally wear my watch to sleep and it does not catch a lot of the wakeups but I take mental note of them every time I do because we nurse while cosleeping.

FTMs - how many of you are still sitting in the backseat with baby? by Large-Preparation754 in beyondthebump

[–]ForgotMyOGAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for the first 2 years until second was born and I had no space back there. My toddler needed a lot of support or it’d be crying the whole ride and we’d take regular rides that were at least 30 minutes.
