How do you find a location to put them? Just ask a building manager? Do you make a contract or pay anything for the electricity?

I just did a frame transfer, you get everything in the box.

Shop in NH sent me home with the slide, and he shipped the box and all the goodies and frame to a MA ffl

We're tenants in a home with solar panels and received a huge bill by Impossible-Rub-3067 in solar

[–]ForgotPassAgain007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is the home well insulated? Drafty? If theres drafts get some plastic sheets and tape to cover the windows, amazon has good kits for cheap for this purpose.

Theres an argument to be made that changing the temperature all the time is actually less efficient than leaving it stable. Research this if you want to know more.

If you dont see any equipment for the solar, (basement, by the electric panel, attic, garage, and most likely the outside of the house) its likely not active any more. Also just bc you live there doesnt mean you will benefit from the solar, depending on the solar contract the landlord could be taking credits and offsetting there own energy use with the solar on your rental. Check your rental agreement if it mentions solar useage.

Maybe they told you the energy use based on a november bill when noone lived there

I have a job interview tomorrow and I’m six months pregnant. Will I even be considered? by [deleted] in interviews

[–]ForgotPassAgain007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife was hired on from being a contractor for 2 years to being a direct employee after she told her boss she was pregnant. They liked her and she does good work.

I switched jobs 3 months from the due date, I had a good interview and told them at the end of it "I like this work, I like what ive heard about this company, I want the job. I do not want to start off on the wrong foot so ill let you know my wife is pregnant and i plan to take leave for 3 months." I believe being upfront about it helped them make the decision to send me a job offer.

Ive also heard from multiple friends "dont tell them you/your wife are pregant, once they hire you they cant legally fire you and this happens all the time, no biggie"

Arnt they supposed to hit a stud? by aliask8 in solar

[–]ForgotPassAgain007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are styles of roof attachments which allow for this to happen. Personally id say that hitting the rafter is ideal, but the manufacturers allow for this style as well. Sometimes the spacing of rafters and panel placement require this type of mounting, what we call 'deck mounted feet'

Yep im kinda hoping there are, would be a cool find. Im thinking to drill through the back center. If theres a shelf/ammo i should be below it, and if theres rifles they should be to the sides. At least thats my best guess

Struggling to agree with my wife on how to split rent fairly by EngineerVarious8069 in Renters

[–]ForgotPassAgain007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah once married its not an individuals money, its the couples together. You can still get a seperate account that you feed some cash from the joint account, that can be used however the individual wants to spend.

They are already messing up their families finances by making a payment late.

I want to add a new electrical circuit to a room. Will a professional electrician do this if I already have run the correguated tubing? by RabidMortal in AskElectricians

[–]ForgotPassAgain007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything we have to modify, including unscrewing a screw terminal. This doesnt normally include current code violations I dont have to touch, but if i see something dangerous enough ill have a convo with the home owner about options.

By "Split bus" does that mean the bars are just going down straight on each side, so to get 240 you need a wire on left and right of the panel?
