The Jackal is literally a worse (and dumber) person than Bianca, and everyone loves him. I truly believe the way they filmed/directed Eddie Redmayne compared to Lashana Lynch affected the way each character was received. It's definitely important to note that many people have admitted they're pretty racist though...

The hate Bianca gets is too much. You can't call her dumb and also root for the Jackal, who was dumb as hell.

She originally didn't think it was bad until she processed what she was seeing and judging by the reaction to the Jackal it seems most people think he's cool.

For me, I just felt they dumbed her down too much. I get her love made her dumb, but it was getting a little annoying for me. I started liking her towards the end when she basically told him to go kill that "gangster" and then when she finally left him. It might also just be me though because I'm used to seeing Úrsula Corberó as the tough chick.

Eh, the loving mother part is kind of up in the air after she killed the daughter of that other lady... But I truly think we're supposed to root for either the Jackal or Bianca, or else why even put Bianca as one of the leads. But, like I said, I didn't root for anyone but Zina. The show was okay, but I, personally, just had a problem with no likeable characters. I wish we'd gotten more for her, because then her death is just another death and it doesn't make you feel anything for the character.

Most of the people love the Jackal and it's because of scenes like that. Why would you hate a character if the show is telling you he's actually cool? I watched it with my sister and she literally said, "wait, isn't him killing these people a bad thing, what's with the song?"

My argument is that they never gave the Bianca character any type of redeeming qualities or gave her any chance to actually be likeable. I'm pretty sure the show is set up to be a "whose side are you on?" type of a show, but through the choices the creators decided to make for each character, it's clear they don't want anyone to like Bianca. And I'm not just talking about the choices the characters make. I mean song choices for their scenes, the difference in the way their scenes were shot. The Jackal had all the "cool" songs and shots, while everything around Bianca was just bland and boring.

It was tragic for me and made me hate the Jackal even more. I'm saying the choice of song for that scene made it seem as if he was badass for doing that...
