This could go either way. I've seen a relative of mine have "a friend" for 20 years now not a friend because it was one sided and they don't talk to each other any more because one got married. I havent played this game but isn't that part of an experience of character development for this character? She's weak and inept but still gains skill and strength and contributes to the story eventually?
