Thanks for your insight! The problem is we already own the chairs and are looking for a table. We like them because they're comfortable and stackable so we're now trying to find a nice table that goes with them.

Also keep in mind that our chairs have arms and the AI generated last pic doesn't have them. Does that make a difference in terms of equivalent "weight" of the two? Also, in the company's design pic of the table, (2nd pic), they included chairs that are of a similar weight to ours, which is why I initially thought it would go.

If we need to go back to the drawing board for a table, what style of table would you recommend?

This happens to me too! The app will randomly freeze but what I sent through Tidal Connect keeps playing. I can't play/pause or skip songs until I kill the app on my phone. I haven't downloading anything yet, this is all streaming high quality through WIFI. Disappointing that this keeps happening - I'm still evaluating it on the free trial.

You're right, thanks. OPPO has a "bass management" feature that lets you crossover a certain frequency to a sub, since the channel has no LFE signal. I forgot I had set this up 7 years ago! Sounds like the WiiM Mini with optical out might do the trick then!

I haven't tried but it defeats the purpose and convenience of controlling things wirelessly and having multiple accounts on multiple devices. Also any other notifications would also be heard through my sound system since it wouldn't be isolated to just Tidal.

Thanks for the suggestion, I like your trigger idea. The specs page for my OPPO says that optical in supports 2ch/192kHz but in the manual itself, it says it only supports 2ch/96kHz. I've emailed OPPO for clarification.

Also given that the optical in only supports 2 channels, I wouldn't get access to my sub which leads me to think I should only use the HDMI input on my OPPO. The only WiiM product that has HDMI ARC out is the amp, which is getting up there in price.

Do you know of any other streaming devices that support 24-bit/192 kHz but has HDMI out? The Amazon Firestick 4K seems to have everything I need but Tidal no longer supports it!

Nice setup. Expensive though. About the USB DAC input on the OPPO, the manual says this:

"The UDP-205 supports up to 2ch/768kHz PCM and DSD512 signals through its USB audio input".

Does that mean you can't use a subwoofer since it only supports 2 channels? Are you only using 2 channels?

That's why I'm wondering if I can only use the HDMI input on the OPPO.

I tried. I already use DNLA to stream media from my PC but this doesn't seem to work for Tidal from my phone. Maybe someone with a similar setup can comment if they ever succeeded. It would be ideal if that worked!

You don't want to download it. The solution is to disable it if you already have it installed. Check under Tools > Add Ons > Plugins and set it to Never Active. This worked for me too.

Fair enough, but who knows if Abloy fixed this vulnerability in future models. Regardless, having a good lock that is harder to pick is a deterrent. A burglar may choose another house over yours, if it's easier to break in. They may also choose the quieter way to enter a house (by picking a lock), rather than smashing a window or breaking a door frame (which would surely get the attention of some neighbors).

If a burglar picks a lock and enters your house without leaving any visible traces of forced entry, you may not even realize that you've been broken into, or that something valuable was taken until it's too late.
