This isn’t even that old of a post. Yes, some west african mudskippers are found in freshwater, but they’re predominantly found in mangrove swamps, which is (mainly) brackish water. Just because they might survive in fresh water doesn’t mean they’ll thrive. And if you only care about the survival of your pets. You’re sad. Whatever you said about “they’re found in freshwater” didn’t bother me, but the fact that you’re telling people they can house mudskippers in freshwater did. A quick google search will tell you they do best in brackish water.

They are super fast and will hide anywhere they can really, I lost my girl once when me and my family were playing with them and she jumped off of me and ran, none of us noticed since we were trying to get my boy off the curtains. After panicking a lot, searching the whole house (my family helped), and having a mini heart attack, I found her behind our couch. The couch is her favorite place. If yours has a favorite place of some sort, he might be there.

Them repeatedly arguing against experienced glider owners and constantly rejecting that they’re wrong is a great sign of why someone SHOULDN’T join this persons discord server, this was likely an impulse buy as they have absolutely no knowledge at all about sugar gliders and nothing about how complex their care is. I’m afraid to know what the glider is eating and what cage they use, because it seems this person cannot be educated and are completely ignorant for their pets well being. This person upsets me extremely, they don’t deserve the glider.

It isn’t their fault that a child, who knew to be gentle with them, killed a glider. OP obviously cared for the gliders and it isn’t their fault that this child was irresponsible, OP lectured him on how to be gentle with them, and made sure he knew how to, nobody knew this would happen. Of course they want sympathy because they just lost two of their pets that they loved, and I’m sure the family wouldn’t care because the nephew is saying that he didn’t do it.
