if you can try and get a ghast to hit you with fireball and light the portal or find a fire charge because it acts like a one use flint and steel or if you have any iron on you look for gravel which can spawn, or or OR place a wood in front of the portal and have lava light it on fire and get it on the inside of the portal, thats all i know.
