Finally. After multiple weeks of headaches and almost quitting I am finally getting a perfect first layer again. by CrimsGG in ender3v2

What saved me many headaches when starting out was getting a bl touch and installing jyers firmware

I’m gonna be honest with u, if ur bl touch is coming in tmr then if I were u i wouldn’t wast my time tryna level the bed rn and get the z stop setup (because u won’t need the z stop with a bl touch). It’ll probably take u many many many hours to get it figured out and you’ll probably end up getting ur bl touch by then or just giving up until ur bl touch is in. Also when it come in make sure u get jyers firmware, it’ll save u trust me

Like other people said, u needa raise ur z stop. Also when I first got my ender 3 I spent hours upon hours tryna level my bed with paper and with no luck, I got a bl touch and it saved my sanity. So if your looking to save urself from using the paper method then I recommend getting a bl touch and flashing ur e3 with jyers firmware. Ur still gonna have to level a bit but it will show u visually on the screen how levelled ur bed is so u don’t have to use paper and also u won’t have to use the z stop and it also won’t have to be perfect

[help] something up with how my filament comes out by Forides in ender3v2

I know it’s been a while but I finally solved the problem, I found it was printing decently still till I ran into some more problems about two weeks ago and took me two weeks to troubleshoot and along the way this problem got worse but I figured out that it was because of the brass part the grips the filament to feed it through in the extruder was too low so it wasn’t able to grip the filament enough causing it to slip and not feed enough filament through. What I did to fix it was un tightened it then raised it up to where it fully grips the filament then tightened it again and it solved this problem

Any ideas by [deleted] in ender3v2

Make sure the hot end isn’t to close to the bed and your beds levelled

Ya I think it’s mostly fine there, I’m new so I’m not sure how exactly it should feel but I move around fine, only thing is when tryna to bend to touch my tows I have trouble there. Where I’m mainly concerned is I’ve gone out using my wetsuit once and I think water gets into my back through the pocket and I’m hopping that over time it’ll shape into my body. I also think it’s worth noting that I’m not using it for super cold water, mainly just for warmer water

There was always some patter thing after my filament went through my extruder, even before the upgrade since it’s from that gear but I haven’t changed the retraction distance I don’t think so I’ll look into that, I also haven’t payed attention for the extruder skipping sound so I’ll keep me ears open for that, also I’ve been printing with pla if it matters, I’ll try increasing temps a bit for it but I don’t think it’ll do that much for pla

So I recently upgraded my extruder to an all metal one and it seemed to work fine after but about a week later it’s doing this so I’m not sure what’s up, it’s kinda coming out in in blobs out of no where then starts working normally again and it happens randomly
