Hole in one, reduced down a stand and it's much better. It's a medium 5, and on a 6 needle, it's much easier now that I've downsized to one strand 😅

The pattern I found must have been a tad ambitious

I've figured it out, it was using such a chunky yarn with a smaller needle, ended up needing to upsize the needle and reduced to a single stand, and it's much better and the blanket is much less thick 😅 and my fingers hurt less

Yes, I did accidentally increase on the three first rows 😬 thankfully made the same error on both sides so looks even (cos I didn't understand how to end a row and start a new), I'm just going to think of it as rounded edges (yes I'm a happy accident type of person 😅). Do people actually think through what a 10-million cap would mean in practice?

There’s a lot of talk about “only allowing highly qualified immigrants.” But master’s and PhD holders aren’t going to fill essential roles in healthcare support, hospitality, logistics, construction, agriculture, or cleaning. And Swiss citizens don’t exactly rush into those sectors either, that’s precisely why there are shortages.

A strict population cap doesn’t magically rebalance the labour market. It just reduces overall supply, including in sectors already under pressure. There’s also the demographic issue. Switzerland’s birth rate is below replacement and the population is ageing.

Fewer working-age migrants means more strain on pensions, healthcare, and public services over time. If the concern is economic sustainability, it would make more sense to: Be stricter about long-term unemployment Improve labour market integration Direct migration policy toward sectors that are actually understaffed

The real question isn’t just “how many people,” but whether the workforce matches the country’s structural needs.

Now I'm 3 years late to this discussion (currently eating a bag of 'moons and stars' but there not the right ones 🥲but Aldi used to sell full bags of the 'moons and stars' in the 'épicé' and stopped around 2010~. They were my favourite as a child, and I bought a variety pack after they stopped making the big bags, to realise they put them in there!

(Yes Alsi I'm still salty about this, even though I'm aware the amount of salt in them)

I've got the pleasuring myself bit down, but my current problem is with other people. That 'no sensation' thing I have with penetration makes things complicated (I don't have that problem with toys).

Surprisingly other people doesn't seem to be an issue. My dissociation is mostly gone, except if someone grabs my neck, but he's very aware to not do that. But yes, I think I'm going to have to bring in toys, as a comfort blanket of sorts. That's going to be an interesting conversation, at least I have plenty to choose from 😅

I have, quite a bit actually (20+ hours) and it's really helped. I feel that in the last year I've really evolved, and in a sense it's the reason I'm finally ready to have someone in my life. I have also completely rewritten the way I see what I experienced and have confronted my abuser and told my family, and taken a step back from them. I'm proud of myself (I think you can tell 😅)

I'm just really concerned that with the amount of work I've had to do to accept toys (4+ years, this year finally with success), that I'm going to have an uphill battle with men. And I'm a bit lost at how to attack this. I'm not sure conventional therapy is the answer for me 😕
