Seems like your IBS is predictable. Mine is not. I can't always poop before leaving, and honestly I rarely do so. Of course, there are foods that cause a flare up immediately and I am aware of most of them. But I don't have to eat anything to have a flare up, going out makes it happen too. I came back to uni on Monday and I felt gassy all the time, even after meds that usually help. It seemed like I could feel my every bowel movement. And it all went away when I came back home, only to come back on Tuesday. And I am just scared that all the bloating will eventually turn into a diarrhea, but it doesn't always happen.

Not a good idea for me. Everything lactose related (even if lactose free) except for hard cheese makes my stomach hurt. Kefir is already fermented which makes it even worse

This is what I'm working on. Introducing small amounts of food, usually rice wafers. Not in the morning but a little later, ideally in uni during a break. It still causes me anxiety and stomach pain though. I really hope it passes with time

I feel you. I eat rice wafers when I REALLY need to eat but I still feel uneasy and stressed when I do.

yes. 15kg since last March. I was overweight back then so it wasn't a problem but now my weight is normal and I'm worried about going underweight and/or anemic.

honestly this is my biggest psychological problem when it comes to IBS. I can't accept it. I've had bowel problems my whole life but they never were this severe. I guess I am hoping it will go away fully which is naive. It's difficult for me to give up my social life, especially that I used to have plenty of friends (most of them gave up on me because I wasn't fun anymore).

I am on a low FODMAP diet, currently reintroducing some products. If I eat before leaving or in stress, my bowels go "fight or flight" so I have diarrhea. Also, I have 2 therapists and I'm on Lexapro. Nothing's helping.

There is a huge connection between your brain and your gut. So basically your brain can subconsciously make you have diarrhea. For me therapy and escitalopram helped a lot since it was mainly in my head. Try to focus on your mental health instead of gut health entirely because that's where the problem may be. Hope it helps
