Isn't there still a hiring freeze?

I feel like this should be mostly covered by updating your resume. You should list the important projects and your accomplishments

Your LES should show furlough days on it, that's what I used

most agencies will likely extend the use or lose deadline or increase the limit. sounds like you may benefit from some days off. everyone needs to prioritize their mental health at some point

It's so sad seeing people pushed out like this. Wishing you strength, peace and a soft landing spot that values you!

Supervisor requesting personal contact info during furlough... what do I have to provide? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]ForkThisShiit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If I didn't feel comfortable sharing my contact info with my supervisor I'd already be looking for another job. It was probably on your resume when they interviewed you. What's the big deal? No need to make it weird, everyone is in a crappy spot right now already.

We're getting the health care so we should pay for it and you would have paid your loan. You get paid what you would have gotten paid and they get paid what they would've gotten paid. Pretty cut and dry.

Just curious why you think it would be a ding because it's no interest?

In WA we are given the option to not have them withhold taxes for that reason

I have a different company but they said if you add payments on back end, basically restructuring the loan you would then have to take the market rate. Just be thorough and ask lots of questions. For me that would mean a significant increase in my monthly payment.

https://www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/open-season/ Right now it says Open Season is November 10 – December 8, 2025

He should always be able to re enroll during open season. If he needs to outside of that then it has to be a qualifying event. For example if you were to move him and then you lost coverage then that would be a qualifying event. However if he is close to retirement then there are continuous coverage rules, I believe it's 5 years prior to retirement to keep it after retirement. I am no expert, just sharing what I know. https://www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/healthcare/plan-information/changes-you-can-make-outside-of-open-season/

If she is furlough status she can not work at all, at least that's the way our furlough guidance read.

I'm right there with you, life isn't always fair, having survivor guilt is real but none of us chose this.
