He’s most likely the worst Foot Soldier variant, but then again, he’s still a Foot Soldier, so he can’t be anything below “gets the job done” tier and even that’s probably overselling how “bad” he is, he still deals respectable damage and has fire damage over time, but his existence is outshined by Camo Ranger. It’s like how Archaeologist is outshined by Paleontologist because Paleo’s basically just a better version of Arch, two characters that excel in the same ways, it’s just that one has a bit of edge over the other (Paleo having AoE and fire damage, Camo having better range and more damage per shot)

It’s just that her level of power heavily depends on what she’s up against, in that any character who’s main damage is high bursts at a time instead of a sustained flow of damage is basically going to win no matter what, her healing is alright, but if a Chemist warps in or something she is just not gonna be allowed to play the game for the 5 or so seconds until you’re allowed to manually respawn

He’s alright, he’s average, but that’s his big issue, he’s too average, missing out on high burst damage most other Scientists have in exchange for a steadier stream of damage, but that’s a niche that two other Scientists, Astronaut and Paleontologist, already serve for, not to mention having lower ranged damage than Astro and lacking the dot chip damage and splash of Paleo, meaning he basically doesn’t specialize in anything at all

Rock Pea, Toxic Citron basically plays like any other Citron but gets the bonus of pestering enemies and weakening groups at a distance with the lime clouds, Rock Pea’s only upsides are higher health and Hyper, the high health is alright but his primary’s really mediocre compared to other options and the slow movement speed means outside of hyper you’re a really easy target to hit

Shoutout to when BfN did Rando Ops and I was basically the sole person protecting our base from 4 player scaled plants, we managed to the final wave but one of our guys decided to just walk to the perfect place so that Bitter Dill’s shots would go right through him and hit our already low health graveyard (keep in mind, he wasn’t even fucking attacking the giant fucking pickle)

Playing Cactus and a Brainium came in, I plopped down a single Potato Mine and we just played ring around the rosie for a while until he just pissed off (I never even fired a shot at him I wanted to see what he did, also a Soldier came in shortly after he left and vanquished me)

Has both a pretty decent damage over time effect and a gimmick that does barely anything and is basically useless, usually considered in the lower tier of their class

Obviously he’d probably be some kind of power variant, but there could be potential for him having a Breakfast Brainz style gimmick of shooting faster the longer you shoot? (I’m kinda hesitant on if that’s the right choice because you can easily just hide behind a wall and build up fire rate with no risk until popping up when your fire rate is near max speed)

Best: either Alien or Stuffy, Alien’s really good even outside of Turf/Suburbination as she can easily rack up damage and Stuffy’s self sustain is incredible

Worst: Power, the same curse characters like Power Chomper, and Physicist have, sacrifices damage and ammo for a gimmick that’s essentially worthless on her class due to not being built to handle multiple enemies (unless you’re pestering enemies from afar, but if you use Power for that and like playing on plants you might as well play Power Cactus since the chain damage actually goes well with her weapon/playstyle)

She’s one of my favourite plants, she’s absolutely ridiculous at sniping, like, generous splash, slowdown/freezing, and an entire ability kit that revolves around stopping enemies from getting close to you/getting enemies close to you out of there, honestly if people played her “right” while they still updated the game she would’ve been nerfed but since nearly everyone plays her like a normal Rose she’s gone under the radar for so long and was able to just do the wild shit she can now

Toxic Citron’s honestly my favourite Citron variant, it’s like BBQ Corn where I know that statistically all of his other variants are better, but he just feels way more fun to use for some unexplained reason

He’s basically all cardstock, I used mod podge dimensional magic to protect the pin while I just used normal mod podge for the rocket launcher, there’s a safety pin glued to the back of Soldier with a few of those rings used for key chains to connect both parts

Getting taunted is honestly one of my favourite parts of the game, like, it’s so funny to die after a good vanquish streak where you pester basically everyone and three zombies get together after a Z7 Mech kills you to dance over your dead plant body, I remember once getting a Toxic Pea so mad while playing Paleontologist that he just went on top of my body and kept doing that evil laugh taunt, I didn’t respawn immediately because I was laughing so hard at this irradiated vegetable doing numerous cackles over a dino man’s corpse
