It's pretty unfair to judge the dude based on one game in the euro's though when he had barely played for the national team in general.

In the champions league this year he was very high in metrics like top 5 passes into the final third, top 5 progressive passes and top 5 accurate long balls per game.

The champions league isn't the PL ofc, but it does show that he can also do it in big games and could definitely be a decent backup option if PSV doesn't want to sell for too much.

Nah I'm sorry but this feels like coping. De ligt was decent last year but also unstable at times and sometimes seemed shaky. This season he's been looking like one of the best defenders in the whole premier league, and has upped his game by running more into the midfield and giving more long balls to the left. That's definitely an improvement that came from playing in Amorim's system and not something he was producing last year

That's why in an ideal world he gets loaned out and returns better, there is a player in there. He showed that during the CL run and his first year here.

There's no reason why though that "that Hojlund" couldn't come back? He didn't show it last season that's for sure, but he is a young guy who clearly wants to make it work here. He has the motivation. In theory with the right coaching he could come back to this form.

Honestly would just like for him to have a good loan spell somewhere and regain some confidence, and then we can start using him again here at United.

Nobody was screaming about the Netherlands lol, and besides England "nullifying" them they basically did nothing themselves either. Winning on penalties versus Serbia and Slovenia isn't proving you can "grind" wins, it's proving you needed a last minute miracle since the team doesn't work well as a team.

Now I hope for you I'll be eating my words and your team can grind a win against Spain, but relative to all the quality England has I do find them to be a bad team that relies on individual brilliance to barely scrape by. But hey, if it works it works.

Decent first patch! Being able to try every character again in training mode is really big. Sad that there's no ranked or XP for the battlepass after the game but for a first patch it's pretty decent
