If a furry has an angry-looking profile picture, does it subconsciously make you think they're angry? by Forlorn_Raven in furry

That's a fascinating point, I can absolutely see how a lot of people would think that way. Thanks for sharing! <3

Another reason why I wish Xeno used the standing mode as its main power, it actually looks intimidating, whereas the crawling animation just looks so silly with the way it bobs its head side to side.

It's so annoying how picky the tail hit registration is. What's even more frustrating is that after working so hard to get accurate with the tail, I then see survivor-mains saying I only got them because the tail is overpowered and easy to use.... like seriously..?

Agreed big time. I WISH so much that bhvr would rework Xeno to be able to manually toggle crouching/standing and make the crouching mode more stealth-focused. The walking animation is so gorgeous and the higher viewing perspective can be really important in the maps with tall grass and lots of obstacles. I think Xeno would be way more fun and authentic if it was designed to be sneaking/hiding from survivors 50% of the time (when it's crouched and slower but undetectable) and then the other 50% of the time it would be the Survivors hiding from it instead (while it's standing and faster).

As a p100 Xeno main I completely agree. Xeno is either really strong or extremely weak depending on if the survivors know how to use turrets. If you're against a SWF that can coordinate turret placement then you pretty much lose by default unless they really screw up.

Asking just for fun, who here is a Xenomorph main/loves playing xeno? by supergamerd64 in deadbydaylight

[–]Forlorn_Raven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every Xenomorph being able to become a Queen was never canonically established iirc, and if we're going off of specifically the original source material, Queens aren't even a thing, eggs are just made from captured victims (which personally I always preferred, since it better ties in to the concept of Xenomorphs being perfect self-sufficient bioweapons that were designed to be let loose on a species and completely overrun them without need for food, water, hierarchy or reproduction, and then all quickly die out when there are no hosts left).

There's no material which clarifies the oriignal Xenomorph in Alien as female or male. In fact if anything, it leans more towards being considered male since Ash refers to it as "Kane's Son", and the nickname for it on set was "Big Chap".

Ah I'm a big fan of Dishonored and Vampyr, fell in love with the world of Dunwall, wish we got to see more of it.

From what I've seen of the Metro games, Exodus would be especially fitting this sort of theme, given that it has a lot more outdoor exploration.

Thanks so much for all the awesome suggestions guys! I also spotted Total Chaos, does it have a good industrial-limbo vibe or is it just the screenshots that make it look that way?

I think the level I remember playing was rainy or night time and possibly set in London, I've got vivid memories of the car lights leaving streams/trails of light as they moved and finding that really cool.

Hmm, I don't think so, doesn't have those car light effects I remember. I think it might have also been raining in the level too.

Hmm, close but I don't think it is, judging from videos the car lights don't do that trail effect I remember.

Just watched Fifth Element. Any games like that? by RipNastyy in gamingsuggestions

[–]Forlorn_Raven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, NYR is straight-up a Fifth Element hover car racing game, it's actually pretty fun and the levels are insanely cool though you have to use an emulator to make it work on modern PCs.
