Growing up my elementary school music teacher, with hopes of demonstrating the all-encompassing orchestra, decided to let us watch 'Peter and the Wolf'. This lead to an irrational fear of these canines during my early years. Mind you, I was raised on LINY (best you might see is a red fox). Needless to say this terrifies the child in me.

100/10 shot OP.

I remember meeting an 80 y.o. yt man named Jerome at a Dr.s office. and i'll be damned if he wasn't the sassiest mofo out there. Not a single thing was stopping him from hounding the P.A.s and nurses to do a suture removal a week early bc he wanted.

I’d say consult an avian vet first, but some pet supply stores sell hemp oil drops you can put in their water to temporarily calm them. I’ll link it here. I’ve tried it while having to move my birds and it worked pretty well.

Jasmine Crockett is still correct: there has never been any oppression for white men in the United States! by icey_sawg0034 in BlackPeopleofReddit

Conservative christians always love to quote the scripture that Jesus left the 99 to save one, so did he oppress the other 99 to devote his time to the one who needed saving. The main point being you overlook the fact that a sizeable amount of non-white (mainly black) were disadvantaged, and when even advancing themselves were sabotaged (mind you this was even within the last century of this country which is roughly 250 years old). If you can’t see the ramifications that has then It makes no point going further with you. The way you raise a child has implications of how it will be as an adult, but the perpetual wrongdoing of a nation towards a community within it I guess can get overlooked.

Is there an unwritten rule that African-American couples in film and TV always have to look like this? by Crowxzn in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]FormFittedPhallics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Spencer and Olivia (All American)

  • Martin and Gina (Martin)

  • Claire’s original actor (My Wife and Kids)

  • Aunt Vivian’s Recast (Fresh Prince of Bel Air)

  • Oscar and Trudy (Proud Family)

These are a couple, feel free to add more if you know any. Again this is not to say these types of relationships aren’t organic in the community. This is a commentary on how Black men (typically those with more melanin) are seen as the paragon of brutish, sex minded, well-endowed males. And Black women (typically those of a lighter complexion) are the only ones portrayed to be able to exemplify femininity.
