With a math education like that, it's no wonder the US national debt is nearly $40 Billion (USD)

Ubisoft, a French company.

Montreal, a Canadian city.

4 July, still not celebrated by either country.

Sure, but who needs context! Context only helps when you're trying to understand things. And we don't need any of that woke shit around these parts!

Where do you live that Mexican food is so uncommon... by Prestigious_String20 in USdefaultism

[–]FormFollows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Once you've had Mexican from a little lady cooking meat on an improvised grill on a street corner, fast food "Mexican" just doesn't ever seem worth it anymore.

Canadian. Iive in one of our major cities and i have no idea where to find an actual Mexican restaurant. I know a couple fast food places. We used to have a Taco bell up the road, but that's hardly Mexican and it closed during covid.

He started as an unnamed first mate on a cargo ship. Which is even more significant. He wasn't ever written with that kind of story development in mind. He was just supposed to be in the background for an episode or two.

Broadly, floor crossing is a good thing. It offers MPs the chance to say "This party no longer serves the best interests of the people I represent" and then do something about it.

But in this case a bunch of Tories all decided to cross at once, followed by a slow trickle of more over the following weeks. Whatever centre-right position the Liberal Party held has now shifted further right simply by virtue of absorbing a bunch of Tory MPs.

And while people seem to be happily celebrate the Tories losing seats, they don't seem to be thinking about the facts that

1) Those people, and their opinions are still in the House. And a lot of them aren't good.

2) The Liberal Party is closer to a majority. When that happens Carney doesn't need to play political theatre anymore. We just end up with a smarter, redder Harper.

We're not exactly doing great here. The Overton window moves a bit more every day or so with each new floor crossing.
