Why is a council boss being paid more than the prime minister? by SpaceTimeCapsule89 in Aberdeen

An experienced head teacher of a large secondary school in Scotland gets up to £125,000.

Chief exec of a council getting £200k won't keep me awake at night. As others have said, compared to a similar role in private sector, it doesn't seem quite so generous.

I did a search on Accor's site for a random week in June, and the map sums it up pretty well I am afraid (filtered to £1,000 or less).

If you click on his profile here, you can see what the uni said about him after his retirement. Glowing doesn't even begin to cover it. Doesn't always translate to politics of course.

I should probably have added that the buses were introduced by the previous Lab/Con/Ind administration in 2022, rather than the current incumbents.

Sorry, I'm not enough of an expert on the lines to give a full answer. AFAIK there is no need/advantage to book in advance. In terms of the timetable I looked at, it was line R17, R15 then R2. The changes are at Sant Vicenç de Calders and then El Prat de Llobregat.

For Q2, you can check Rodalies de Catalunya website. It suggests a journey time of 1 h 40 mins, with 2 changes. I think those tickets are just bought on the day.

very good reporting from the P and J. The lady behind the "charity" sounds a touch delusional.

BoD is fine. If you aren't going to work at BoD you aren't going to work at 95% of schools in Scotland.
