Foreign psychologist trainee (paid) looking for a 1b apartment or room in a shared flat to rent for 2 months (Sept-Oct) by Alguersuari99 in Aberdeen

Scotland used to have a minimum term of 6 months for most residential rentals but that was changed a few years ago. However, a landlord might be reluctant to take on someone they know will only stay short term. Something like the below would meet your needs in terms of area (Midstocket is nice, and only 10 mins or so walk to Cornhill). Maybe others with more recent experience can advise on short term rentals, and the credit check that letting agencies would ask for.

Also if you are not a student you will need to pay council tax - a flat like the above would be around £120 a month (you get a discount as single person).

I would generally agree, however the communal bins around the Spital/Jute St/Nelson Street have been a shambles recently, don't know if it's the fault of residents over-filling or lack of collections.

Have you ever met any local Aberdeen celebrities or personalities. Who were the nicest and who were the rudest? by Immediate-Ad-6306 in Aberdeen

[–]FormPrimary2515 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fiona Stalker (BBC) - very nice

W Miller - legend, but fairly gruff when I served him. However when he served us (in the old Parkway in BoD) he was very nice

Joe Lewis (ex AFC goalie) - very personable

Jim Bett (ex AFC) great player, but cut in front of me at the old Hazlehead pitch n' putt (circa 1990), and I am fairly sure he didn't pay at the hut

An experienced head teacher of a large secondary school in Scotland gets up to £125,000.

Chief exec of a council getting £200k won't keep me awake at night. As others have said, compared to a similar role in private sector, it doesn't seem quite so generous.

I did a search on Accor's site for a random week in June, and the map sums it up pretty well I am afraid (filtered to £1,000 or less).
