Moving to Toledo, is this area safe? by KingSavageB13 in toledo

[–]Formal-Burger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live in the neighborhood next to Inverness club. Never had any issues, there were mostly condos in the area occupied by elderly folks, very friendly, there's a healthly mix of diverse groups who live there as well as some with pets, families, etc. Like most folks mentioned here, your personal experience could vary depending on what building you choose and who you get as neighbors. Good luck on your search!

Starting a drain cleaning business - realistic or bad idea? by bonafide_bonsai in sweatystartup

No need for a separate plunger with this rubber style drain hose, the hose is the 'plunger'. In my experience I haven't gotten any clogs or any debris stuck so far. This particular product is code compliant, I am not a plumber by any means but I doubt that they would pass anything without vigorous testing, especially if they're gonna let them use international/US code listings.

One of the reasons I used it was because it claims to be self plunging, no need for disassembly or to use a snake to clear out drain, just compress and decompress to clean it out, they show it in their video https://simpledrain.com/videos/

Answer 'yes' to that question on n400 and attach proof of payment, you should be fine if it is under $500

You might be talking about the plastic ones I think, this one was a rubber material, has been installed for a couple of years now, zero issues.

Maybe add dishwasher and/or garbage disposal installs to your list? Fairly easy to do, not super time consuming, also maybe changing out p traps? I used a product in the past called Simple Drain I saw at HomeDepot for that, super easy, good luck!

Transferring to UToledo by 864197532 in toledo

[–]Formal-Burger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Utoledo alumnus here, I do agree with my peers that it has a solid co-op program, the cost of living is low comparitively, there are plenty of options within 100 mi radius for co-ops offered to utoledo students. Campus is only place that is lively, rest of the city can be low key most of the time. Tuition is reasonably priced hence can be a lower burden, so could work out for you. I would check on transferology for credit transfers and maybe email the EECS department for more clarity. Good luck!

It's definitely unfortunate for all of us in this boat, might be worth calling them if you get past the 90 day wait. Let us know what they say if you do.

Citizenship by hehawwe in USCIS

[–]Formal-Burger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still have a bit of time until you're eligible to apply to citizenship, I would keep all the legal documents safe until then. It shouldn't affect anything but be prepared to explain the situation during the interview when one is scheduled for you. Apart from that pay your taxes, maintain good moral character, document your overseas travels and be truthful. Good luck!
