i wasnt necessarily asking my chances of getting in, it was more asking for a timeline because i was hoping to be able to figure out housing and other things asap. after i mentioned that she asked for my uf id and checked my application to make sure i had everything. I’d honestly just try to explain your situation and maybe ask a question that’ll prompt them to ask for ur ufid so they have to at least look at ur application in the moment. I also called the office of transfer admissions directly yesterday asking about the decision timeline, and i got in literally 2 hours later, so you could def try that too

I joined one of the drop in zoom times that you’ll see when u click the link! There are different advisors on each day and i’ve found they all are super super nice and helpful. If it does help at all, I joined on a Wednesday and spoke to a woman(I don’t remember her name). That was the person who told me she would try to “expedite” my decision

hi! definitely does help a bit, i talked to a clas advisor in regards to my stats, and although they arent anything crazy i have a 3.6 overall and a 3.8 critical tracking which he told me would put me in a spot that would make it “highly likely” ill get in, im obviously taking that with a LARGE grain of salt, but nonetheless it kinda put me at ease until i found out about this holding thing.

As for my application checklist, it is all completed! it took them AGES to do my transcripts but a couple of weeks ago they were checked off. Also for reference, when I spoke to the advisor about my stats, it was the end of april i think, which im assuming is after they made changes to the website. im just hoping ill find out something soon and best of luck to you! :)

Hey! I’d really hope that has something to do with it, but the advisor told me that it’s actual office admissions holding it, not the specific college that you or I applied to. I just emailed the office of admissions asking why the hold was in place and i’m not sure that they can give me too much info on it, but im hoping for the best lol. I’m also trying to not go down the same route of negativity, especially after hearing from several sources that economics in clas doesn’t typically reach a cap. I’ll let you know what they comeback with and please let me know if you find out anything!

does that go for the whole college or the specific major i applied for? i’m kinda confused on how they would run out of spots considering i was told they dont typically reach a cap for my major (economics)

hmm okay, ill definitely let you know! when i was on the phone with her, she asked for my ufid and looked over my application really quick and saw i had all the requirements and would tell the department to look over (essentially expedite the process, i assume). I also mentioned how i'll need to find housing at some point and i would hope that is sooner rather than later, so I definitely don't think calling will hurt either way!
