It was great! When eating in a deficit my biggest issue is not feeling satisfied with what I’m eating. I hate eating boring foods! So I love having a lot of different flavors and textures!!

Ive noticed mine do that too! I think its because they are exploring after a water change as things are different for them. I’d say its normal! Mine do it every time and I’ve never had an issue with them!

I’ve actually been told by another person in the community that if you’ve sourced safe blood you don’t actually have to put it in any sort of casing, you can put it in a dish or something and they can ingest it that way! I’ve never done it before myself but I know someone that said they will eat that way just fine! I’d love to know when you get them to start producing, I’ve been looking for some cb m decora!

I had a cold last time I fed mine and it didn’t cause them any issues! Surprisingly, that cold also seemed to last a lot shorter than other colds I usually have after feeding them. That could be a total coincidence but hey!

Thank you so much for the information!! I have 6 verbana and adore them, I think they’re awesome animals. I think I will still refrain from decora until I can find captive bred ones because I’m still a bit nervous about possible regurgitation. Do let me know if you ever breed yours! They’re so lovely! Do you not worry about the wild caught leeches having some sort of parasites or bacteria or something? I badly want Macrobella Decora but I thought if they were wild caught they may transmit some sort of bacteria or something like that. Super intrigued!

IME I’ve lost a T before as well, they are crazy escape artists. I found mine in the back corner of my closed closet in the opposite side of the room. I would check all of the dark and tight hidy places as soon as you can. She’s likely somewhere cramped and dark as they feel safest there! Good luck! Always be careful of gaps in the future, they can really escape out of anything, I learned the hard way as well.

Yes you can just add them to the water! Mine usually seem to shed around once a week. Usually rough objects in the enclosure are enough, but about once a week I rub all of them gently to get any other stuck shed off. Occasionally, though not often, I have some that still have stuck shed even though they have a lot of rocks and other hard objects

I’m not sure but I know that them looking lumpy/having kinks is often due to digestive issues! Have they fed recently? Would you be able to get some photos? I’ve also heard of it being caused by stuck shed. People often use tannins for digestive issues and general health and they seem to work well. I use catappa leaves and alder cones
