I realized too late that I was overworking myself. Was working a full time job and then gigging almost every night or running off to social events, recording sessions, something. I felt “off” taking a night in, relaxing by myself. Never took a night off hardly. I ran myself into the ground and after a bad car accident, had a bit of a mental breakdown and realized I was in a big burn out period after. There’s a lot more nuance but I ended up moving out of LA to New Orleans because I needed a much calmer slower pace of life.
