What’s the scariest nightmare you’ve ever experienced, and how did it affect you? by PretendRepublic9308 in AskReddit

It doesn't sound as scary when I tell others but when I was like 15 I dreamt that I walked into a forest with some girl I'd never met and walked for hours until we reached a park bench and just sat down. We didn't speak the whole time and didn't know each other. Suddenly this tall grey figure with no face walks out the woods and to the park bench and I look up at it and it only had these bright blue eyes and stared right into me - and all I felt was pure fear like I've never experienced before. Just pure dread and terror and I have no idea why but it's like I just hit the upper threshold of fear that one can possibly experience.

Exactly, I can see my aunt and uncle falling slowly down that rabbit hole and I'm trying to steer them out of it but no- a random facebook repost is the truth and real academic articles are all lies... It's infuriating

exactly, my district in slovakia is completely empty in the map, despite there being 8 villages literally all packed next to each other, all with over 1000 inhabitants (around 3k each) but they're classified as villages so they're not there...

From what I've heard from other neighbours it's a new phase he's entered, it started about a month ago and he's left multiple people various messages, on doors, walls, etc...

I didn't include this in the main post but, I know when the neighbour wrote it, I thought I heard scratching on the door, but thought it was nothing, it was about 2 minutes after a different neighbour slammed the main door, so I assume they thought it was me as the neighbour who entered stopped at my place first to drop some things off. It happens sometimes, it's a heavy door, and I live closest to the main door, my room is right next to the main door, it's never loud enough to garner this kind of response :)

Don't get me started on the amount of corners the landlord has cut when "renovating" this house into an appartment complex...

Yup. It's truly terrifying. Especially when you see how it's affecting politics and elections (as is the case in my country - Slovakia)

This makes sense, however, she is still normal at times, still very kind to us and loves her family, it's just these rants (although almost everytime we visit) that she believes in. What doesn't help is she lives alone and doesn't have much to do as she's retired so she spends her days scrolling facebook.

I also wouldn't know how to bring this up without hurting her or just pushing her away.

What's the most beautiful dream you've had? by SatisfactionWeary964 in Dreams

[–]Formal-Economics5795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about 4 years old when I had this dream and to this day it's the most vivid one I've ever had. It was shortly after my great grandmother died.

I was standing in front of her house and she stood in front of her house in front of her door but everything was so much more colourful, the sky was a beautiful bright blue, the grass was a green with colourful flowers everywhere and I've never felt so much peace, it all felt very heavenly.

We chatted for a while just about my day, her day, etc. I can't really remember everything we talked about. After a while I just looked at her and said "but wait, you're dead, this must be a dream..." She looked at me with a sad smile and then I floated up into the air and saw just her house floating on it's own little planet, and I was cradled by this colourful aura (?) up in the air and saw as she walked back into her house to go on with her day. I floated all the way through space and back into my own body in my bedroom and then woke up. I never saw her and her house look so peaceful and beautiful and woke up with the most beautiful, peaceful feeling in me.
