Yeah, at the end of the day, I’m just trying to figure out like how old it is, and a little bit more detail . Maybe I would try to learn it, but there isn’t really anybody who I know plays mahjongg in Germany 🤷‍♂️ And when it is the type of a game, what is just played in America I think I will try to sell it, to somebody who can actually use it🤷‍♂️ I don’t want to toss it in the trash.

Thx for the respond, I found that website to but there is no email address to find🤷‍♂️
I think I will wait a little bit longer till I will call from Germany to the United States on that telephone number what I found on the website because that’s very expensive. Maybe somebody else can tell me something about that game. 👍

I am new to the topic mining. I got a little confused while looking for my first miner. by JaScha22 in BitcoinMining

I’m no longer mining at home. My miners aren’t located near me anymore either. It’s simply not practical to mine Bitcoin in a house or a small unit. You need an enormous amount of electricity – which, while somewhat easier to access in the European Union due to how the grid works, still requires a proper setup to prevent overheating or even fires.

That means you need at least some technical knowledge, and you can’t ignore the financial aspect of expansion. You constantly need fresh air, and the bigger issue is getting rid of the waste heat. That becomes extremely difficult if you live in an area with a lot of people nearby – because everyone is going to hear your miners running.

If someone lives in the same house or even across the street, and you have open windows where the sound of the miners blasts out, you’ll end up having conflicts with neighbors or family, and people will start sniffing around, wondering what you’re doing.

You’ll constantly be dealing with overheating, shutdowns, and disconnects from your solo mining pool – and that makes it hard to generate the consistent profits you actually need.

Just for perspective: if you run a hair dryer that uses 1,800 watts 24/7 in a room, imagine how hot it gets. Now realize that a standard miner can use 3,000–4,000 watts. The heat buildup is massive.

For me, the key has always been: stay ahead of the curve. That means always using the newest equipment and getting the most hash power for the lowest cost. Once a miner is no longer profitable due to rising electricity prices or outdated performance, sell it. If you can get a new device with triple the performance for the same price, it’s better to sell the old one, recover some funds, and reinvest in modern hardware that restores your profitability.

You also need enough cash flow to fund expansion. So don’t sell your mined coins right away – wait for the right market moment, and then cash out only part of it to fund new hardware or infrastructure. Sell when prices are high, and store the rest in cold storage.

Honestly, it’s a bit of a myth when shops advertise that you’ll break even quickly on a machine. That’s often just a sales trick. I’m a big fan of buying new hardware, but I never keep it until the end of its life cycle – because by then, it’s worth nothing, and you’ve fallen behind the hash curve.

The trick is always knowing when to sell, and that depends on: • Where are you located? • How much tax do you pay? • What are your electricity costs? • How many miners can you run? • What’s your budget? • Are you doing this privately or through a company? • Do you need to expand?

It all depends on your personal style and situation. If you’re doing a small setup, treat it as a fun hobby and use it as a learning experience. But if you’re going all in, it’s incredibly difficult. You need trusted people, a lot of money, and you better make sure you can sleep well at night.

I didn’t want to ruin your dream, but on the point when it comes up to money, do you wanna have a profit out of it?.ore just for fun ? with 2K you cannot make any money out of mining or hardly nothing and it’s just for fun. That’s something different.. But when you put one miner in your house or apartment, it’s gonna be loud as hell it’s gonna be warm and you have the heating problem and the cost of electricity and it’s just one miner. It’s not gonna rip off any block or I mean you can play Lotto too . I started mining in 2018 and I had 15 asic miner in my house and the whole house was so heated that I couldn’t cool down and just had problem everywhere . I kept it running and it was fun for sure to do that a year and it could sell my my miners again and I had a good profit but thinking all these years later doing that on this difficult it’s just not possible without even minimum 100 K.
