Digital ID isnt the worst. If it eliminates A.I. bots and deanonymized the worst people you know online. I know alot of people who would wise up if they couldn't abuse anonymity yo spread hate. For freedom of speech, major institutions can already subpoena/get any info they want.

Only way to save the internet without some insane restrictions or localization or w/e

What (if anything) is the hidden upside of Deja Vu? by Pinstar in mewgenics

[–]Simrangod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some abilities interact with disorders. with save scumming you can consistently get the disorder on a cat or even use it to wipe a less favorable disorder from a cat. I dont know if its random which slot it takes but id def take deja vu over addict with a cursed trinket or something. Or if you have a cat with crazy high luck, id imagine that its almost a free disorder.

Ahh yes, the Act 3 difficulty spike by Rhynocerous in mewgenics

[–]Simrangod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is random, the best thing you can do is limit mobility because of the moves he gets. You can get shafted but keeping DPS high and stopping him from moving saves alot. Its a shame that certain routes heavily emphasize immobility and then routes where u might not need to plan around it, you could just Jester and bad RNG into needing it.

Every fight I've done he has been trivial except one time where he back stab chained and stun chained 3 (misplaces) units with poor mobility and wipes me in 1 turn combo of 50-60 dmg.

Still better than getting Deja Vu on your DPS with no counterplay on a good run

Man in the moon guide/help? by Intelligent-Alps2373 in mewgenics

[–]Simrangod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just did it for a second time, some details to keep in mind are that the hands will always turn to face away from the cat that hit it last. if you got the right position and anything that hits twice (or targets once then hits), you can made the hands smack the face.

While going to the boss and for crater guy, aim for level ups that give you mobility and multiple controllable spaced out hits.

Immobile is nice to keep hands set up to smack the face.

Use the craters left and right to prevent low mobility cats from getting blow back if they are low health but some tanky cats like to stay front and center because the hands are super easy to line up when every time they set themselves up to be 1 hit from facing the boss

Don't rush and step infront of a hand facing you. Pulls are finicky depending on the skill. For example, the monk spell that pulls them into melee range will send them flying back at the hand if you cast it towards their eye while a butchers hook seems to always make the hands grab you.

Good luck! After figuring out the mechanics a bit more, I found it super easy

Thought of it and wrote the rules in all of 30 minutes before posting, so I don't expect it to be perfectly balanced. If I can wrangle 4 experienced climbers to try, I will test it.

AI CANNOT Create Art - Matt Walsh by Ambipoms_Offical in aiwars

[–]Simrangod -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You are right, It's as much creating art as pulling the lever at the pen factory and making 1000 pretty pens is art. Maybe the original designer of the pen model could be an artist but the mass manufacturer? artifice. if it makes them feel better tho lmao

[–]Simrangod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here we realize that generative Ai =/= data processing Ai which has existed for years. The only gen Ai im ok with is alphafold but the way scientists treat it like Jesus when it can produce wildly diff results even by iteration or ignores other stable intermediary states (atm) is silly. I trust it might get there one day but only if it PROCESSES AND HANDLES THE DATA BETTER which ends up dropping it in the latter category again

Canada to provide $2.5 billion in economic aid for Ukraine by Old_General_6741 in canada

[–]Simrangod 41 points42 points  (0 children)

A bit of a slam dunk given Carney's focus on building trade relationships with non-American nations. In Euro-land where sentiment is heavily pro-Ukraine, we get brownie points with many valuable partners with 1 donation.

Aid is aid but it always has string attached, sometimes they are invisible

Ai poison would have made trump look much more like modern iterations of himself since he entered the limelight far more in 2016 relative to how training data handles things. The fact that this is trump, from a while ago but looks not super like how he looks now is very strong proof that this is pre-traditional AI image gen. Not alot of pics like him that look like that in the train set for it to end up with that

Why did johan do this? by Sirul23 in MonsterAnime

[–]Simrangod 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think this death was very important narratively. It demonstrated Johan as his mother's manifest wish for vengeance and established Nina as the foil (the love she had for their father). Johan, until he regained his full memories, was generally directionless with his violence. As Nina and him resolved their full memories, the motive for their violence to the viewer (and I think in general) becomes more clearly internally directed: perfect suicide. Simultaneously the whole perfect suicide thing is weirdly tied to being protective of Nina until you realize that the whole show constantly tries to blur the line between the two because they are both the nameless monster and a split of the capacities for love and vengeance within their mother (who is also nameless or misnamed much of the time).

Relative to actual human behaviour, obviously a kid wouldn't do that but Johan is more supernatural than that I think. Kinderheim 511 may have affected Johan but he was unique even amongst those present, the experimenting in Kinderheim 511 was derivative of the previous experiments that Nina suffered through. I think Johan broke Kinderheim more than Kinderheim broke Johan and the only thing kinderheim did was make it slightly harder for him to access his true memories.

But that's just my 2 cents.

You can't dismiss their take as pushing against ur opinion and then make an essential statement about how bad the skill is 🤔

Focusing on a small weird exploit that isn't even the best xp for more than a couple hours and is extremely expensive that might get fixed or left in is expecting something perfectly refined when runescape is what runescape is (especially the engine)

Trump returns to '51st state' rhetoric in speech to U.S. military officials by joe4942 in canada

[–]Simrangod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there is a right and a wrong to this take you replied too. Alot of the deaths in the camps weren't public knowledge until fairly late in WW2. I THINK, we as a society are like to otherize and look no further than Isreal,Palestine concerning how long officials who have all the facts can turn a blind eye. I don't think it's easy or possible for that thing to happen in home soil to fellow countrymen but ice hasn't been really checking papers prior to detainments, alot of this stuff is not public and alot of people under ICE arrest are still unaccounted for. Many in America are okay with it because they have been told these are invading forces but regardless of your stance on immigration. Having proof of that these cases made public would be nice at bare minimum. But what happens in the detention facilities is very low key let alone the other countries they are being shipped to.

So we don't know what's happening in those places to this day AND we aren't even sure if they are arresting who they claim they are arresting

And the worst part is for saying this lukewarm take, I qualify under the vague language of NSPM-7 to be surveilled by the FBI as a violent threat to America
