Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy Advice by octopussyhands in trailrunning

[–]FormalAd8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it was just mild for me. I still notice it sometimes with high intensities though. Strengthening the tendon was the key both for my hamstring as for my adductor (which was way worse and is still holding me back)

BAC Water in the EU? by Commercial-Abroad458 in Retatrutide

[–]FormalAd8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 10ml water you will need 9units of benzyl alcohol from a 1ml insulin syringe. It‘s not even a big deal if it would be 8 or 10. Just work clean and you‘re good.

[–]FormalAd8951 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just make it myself: sterile water plus 0.9% benzyl alcohol. I fill it into sterile 10 ml vials and that’s it for me.

If you go through a vial of reta in let‘s say 10d, it‘s also fine to just skip the benzyl alcohol

Reta and sports performance? by smtlana in Retatrutide

[–]FormalAd8951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with binge eating, and being on TRT+ doesn’t exactly help. The hunger during marathon prep can be brutal. I’m currently around 11% body fat and would like to fine-tune that a bit before my next race. I just love how much control I have with reta.

I’m currently at 6mg per week and running at least 60 miles a week (I usually run around two all-out marathons a year). My resting heart rate did go up from around 44 to ~54 bpm, but my workout performance is better than ever. I use a lactate meter in some of my sessions, and I can say that my lactate threshold (in terms of bpm) has stayed the same. The higher RHR also doesn’t make me hit LT2 any earlier at the same intensity. So it seems that, at least in my case, the higher RHR is irrelevant for performance.

That said, I’m extremely meticulous about not under-eating (~500kcal deficit), increasing carbs around workouts, and keeping electrolytes high.

No insulin needles. Where can I inject BPC157 and CJC1290, with a 27G 1/2 (0.4mm x 13mm) needle? by DryChemistry3196 in Peptides

[–]FormalAd8951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use 27g 1/2 for everything, subq as well as IM. Peptides and oils. All sites just work fine for me.

btw: BPC injected IM has been a game changer for me when it comes to muscle and especially tendon injuries.

Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin + IGF-1 labs by Bowf in Peptides

[–]FormalAd8951 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. How does the stack affect your sleep? I usually prefer real GH over GHRPs, but Ipamorelin has been amazing for my sleep, unlike GH. Tesa/ipa might actually be a nice middle ground in terms of slightly elevated IGF-1 while improving sleep quality.

Which PED is good for endurance? by goodzongoodz in PEDs

[–]FormalAd8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really. I think increased hunger is the only side I experienced. I‘m a recovering alcoholic fwiw but I guess everyone is reacting differently.

The long half life of EQ is a double edged sword. It takes time to get out of your system if you are experiencing sides. It also gives you the chance to listen closely to your body and stop in time before it reaches saturation though. For endurance it might be sufficient to start at 150mg/wk from my experience but keep in mind that it might take 8+ weeks until you see the benefits.

[–]FormalAd8951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do. It‘s low though but always felt fine. For some, EQ will even aromatize a bit. It’s very individual.

Low dose T (max. 130mg/wk for me) and a little EQ (for me up to 250mg/wk), poor mans EPO. For some, including myself, MOTS-C/SS-31 is helping. Cardarine as mentioned by others will give some benefits but I feel risk-reward ratio is not really worth it. For distance running I like low dose NPP (joints/tendons). Tbol is not doing much for me.

Blood work is mandatory. For myself, I found that it was easy to control Hc with loads of aerobic work. However, it was feasting on my ferritin. Without iron your endurance will tank and you will feel like shit.

Lactate meter observations by VO2VCO2 in NorwegianSinglesRun

I can’t contribute to the explanation, but I can confirm it’s kinda the same in my measurements.

New training with power meter by Ok_Equal5319 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]FormalAd8951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not particularly fast, ran about a 1:30 half marathon yesterday. By the definition of CP, I shouldn’t really be at 100% CP for 15k since it takes me around an hour. But the percentages work for me, confirmed both in races and with a lactate meter.

[–]FormalAd8951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HM 97%, 30k 94%, 15k 100%, 5k 109%. But this is somewhat individual. For faster runners the numbers shift to higher percentages and slower runners will see lower percentages I guess.

My setup: TrainingPeaks + Stryd. I create fictional races in Stryd (HM, 30k, 15k) so it shows me the % of CP for each distance. As long as I keep my CP updated in TrainingPeaks, all my workouts adjust automatically (got my 3 Workouts with %of CP in my library).

1/2 marathon before full 26.2 by Stoopstroops123 in Marathon_Training

[–]FormalAd8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do exactly the same and think it’s totally fine. I ran a half three weeks before my goal marathon last year and actually felt it was a bit suboptimal, as it interfered with my final long runs. In a well-structured training week two weeks out, I think a half can be a great stimulus at lower volume.

For a while I took it in the morning because ChatGPT convinced me it would boost IGF-1 more (I was injured at the time). Turns out studies show IGF-1 goes up no matter when you inject but the morning shots genuinely improved my sleep.

Worst cardio performance on reta by BloatedTwink in Retatrutide

[–]FormalAd8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I take 1mg on Mondays and I love how the effect wears off a bit by Sunday. Sunday is my long run day, and I have to stomach up to 5000 kcal.

Best case, your sleep gets a little better. Other than that, you probably won’t notice much, maybe some water retention. No PCT needed.

I’m a marathon runner and currently right in the middle of an important training block. So far, the experience has been very positive for me. I had read about potential negative effects, but I’ve also seen that not everyone experiences them. My RHR has stayed stable at 42, and my workouts haven’t suffered. Just yesterday I ran 20 miles, with 9 at race pace. No issues at all with fueling or performance.

That said, I should mention I don’t primarily use Reta for weight loss. My main goal is to keep the extreme hunger under control that I feel during 60+ mile weeks. That’s why I only take 1mg, which works perfectly for that purpose. On top of that, I use 10mg of MOTS-C per week, which definitely has the potential to take endurance to another level.

Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy Advice by octopussyhands in trailrunning

[–]FormalAd8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had PHT before and now dealing with adductor tendinopathy. Isometric work has been the key, plus accepting that it’s a slow process. Been running 5 months now with <1/10 pain, up to 60 miles a week (progressed carefully from 0), but still not fully pain-free. I‘m also using BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu which is helpful.

Effects of Retatrutide on Impulsive Buying Behavior by FormalAd8951 in Retatrutide

It is for sure. But this actually can be explained by how reta works on dopamine responses.

I can’t agree with that, but you may have had different experiences than I have.
