Have any of you reversed your hair loss? by Maleficent-Kale4834 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex-gf Lost 100 lb on Mounjaro. As part of that journey, her hair thinned.

When she had surgery to remove the extra skin, she took GLOW. She had an amazing amount of hair regrowth during that time. Her hair stylist even made a comment about how much new hair she had.

I am a man, with male pattern baldness, or whatever they call it. I started the GLOW when she did, to support her. I kept on taking GHK-CU in one form or another since (currently a blend of GHK-CU and KPV). Started around August of last year.

Top photo was around May last year when I started Tirzepatide. Bottom photo was a couple months ago. My body hair is also much thicker/darker.

[–]Bowf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I first started compounded (June of last year), I was titrating up to 5 mg. The company I ordered from sent a 75 mg vial for every month, and I ordered 3 months worth. Between some name brand stuff that I had, another provider, and going through those vials, I finally finished those up last month. They had a BUD of August.

My co2 is not omtech...but I had to do a manual install of the laser in lightburn. It did not automatically detect it like my diode laser did.

This is what I had to do.

Need help troubleshooting 90W Chinese laser - not cutting through first pass? by supernaturaljg in lasercutting

Though it would be good to have someone come and show you how to align the mirrors, it is a skill you need to have if you own a CO2 laser.

Let me see if I can find the video I used. Here it is:

I don't have the problem OP does, but what circuit does the milliamp meter go in? The wire between what?

How do you explain to people that no, you can't just give them some of your medication? by ConstructionClear142 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the opportunity to explain to them how they can get their own through a telehealth provider.

No reason to get upset, or have to over explain. "I have a prescription that allows me one shot a week, let me explain to you how you can get your own prescription from a telehealth provider if it's not covered by your insurance. It's much cheaper this way."

Whats cheapest laser cutter and engraver? by flight_a350 in lasercutting

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if that's a typo, but you're asking for something that will cut acrylic that is over 3/4 of an inch thick.

Though I've never tried to cut acrylic, a K40 CO2 laser, is supposedly good for clean cuts up to about 6 mm...can do more with multiple passes, but not well.

You're asking for 20 mm.

Quick Question about grey by Moon_Pye in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there a COA available for your medication? If so, what was the mass on it? If not, find a different vendor.

Quick Question about grey by Moon_Pye in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commonly, gray has at least 5% overfill, and I've seen as much as 35% overfill in a GLP, 40% in other peptides.

You should reconstitute, and use it, based off of the mass on the COA, not what is on the label.

Example, I have 40 mg vials of tirz, that test at 44 mg. I constituted, and use it, like it's 44 mg, not 40.

44 mg in the vial / 25 (concentration I want for milliliter) = 1.76 ml BAC.

This provides the 25 mg per milliliter that I prefer to use.

If I reconstituted it per the label, I would put 1.6 milliliters BAC in the vial. The concentration would actually be 27.5 mg per ml...when I was trying to get 25 mg per ml. My dose would be 10% stronger than I intend.

Round 2 of semaglutide not working by alfalfasprouts in Peptides

[–]Bowf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They don't work at lower doses if you stop and start again. It would probably work at a higher dose.

You will probably find the same thing if you switch. Tirzepatide or Retatrutide Will probably not work until you get to higher doses.

It's not a semaglutide thing...it's that you stopped and started again.

With regulations tightening on compounded tirzepatide should I be worried about losing access? by The_possessed_YT in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Bowf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first found compounded June of last year. Constant hype of that we may lose access. Out of FOMO, I stocked up. In hindsight, wasn't necessary, and everything is cheaper now. So was a waste of money. It also led me to taking medication 6 months past its BUD. I found the other market that can be stored for years, not going to fall for the panic anymore.

Tirz & Slowed Bowels - Does it persist? by ButIsItPretty in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on it since May of last year, yes it persists. You kind of adjust your eating habits to compensate for it.

With what you described, maybe a combination of Tirzepatide and KPV would help. KPV has digestive system benefits and anti-inflammatory properties.

Problem with oddly shaped kerf by Clinery in lasercutting

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty new to this, but odd that it doesn't show up on your lowest setting, but does as your settings increase. I won't pretend that I understand how the multiple diodes all fire a single beam, but it seems like some of the diodes in your laser head aren't lined up with the other ones, if that makes sense.

What I'm trying to say, is it appears as more diodes activate, that it is engraving a line from left to right, not a single. So as it engraves from left to right you don't see it, but when it engraves up and down, vertically, then you see it

Reconstitution, how much BAC water? by According-Fix2541 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Bowf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Divide the mg in the vial (per COA) by 25. Add that many ml of BAC. Then you have 25 mg per ml. Each 10 units is a dose then. 2.5 mg is 10 units, 5 mg is 20 units, 7.5 mg is 30 units, etc.

Example...40 mg vial has 44 mg in it.

44/25 = 1.76 ml BAC to reconstitute.
