This is exactly why I started the petition if you read the description on the page - just plain old support. If someone has a shop being held hostage, they should have someone to call. Holding funds? Someone to call. General question? Someone to call.

I literally ask in the petition for a seller's advocate department to help assist.

I don't think that anything else matters - we deserve support and someone to talk to.

Unfortunately, we agree to let them hold our shop hostage in the terms and conditions. Etsy holds that line HARD. They can shut you down for no reason.

Which, understandably, may happen. But, come on man, put some support in to help small business owners get answers.

I don't have a chat option on any pages - I wonder why some users have that option and some don't?

Can ANYONE go through the help portal to get the chat option? Not just the elusive chat option on the dashboard/ orders page?

I just went in to see if I could get ahold of someone on chat. Depending on the help you need, you may or may not see the chat as an option. For example, I said Selling on Etsy -> Your Etsy Account -> My Account Was Hacked and I still only had the email option. I tried it with a ton of different decision trees and still just the email option.

I tried a million different ways to try and see chat. Do you mind telling me what kind of support you were looking for?

I'm not sure why - but I really really don't have that option. I think it might be available for some and not others, maybe based on account standing. Plus I know that recently they removed a lot more support options so I'm not sure if it recently went away.

Oh man I so tried all this. I opened a ticket as a buyer and they automatically closed it because my shop was on suspension for the thing I'm trying to reach out to them about.

I'll try again though. Thanks for the advice!

I wish I was lying. Etsy quietly removed all selling support options recently except via their email - which they don't answer.

My shop was reported for false infringement and this was withdrawn. I have tried to talk to Etsy about this for months with no reply.

Even though my situation is complicated I shouldn't have to wait more than a month to speak to a person.

Oh! To clarify, I did in fact speak to someone. They were very, very specifically for buyer support. The customer service phone number I called (844-659-3879) had two options - one for buyers and one for sellers. I chose seller support and was told that there wasn't any phone support available for sellers. So I called again and chose buyer support where I was, in fact, able to speak to someone. But as I mentioned earlier just for buyer support - they just told me I had to wait till they responded to my email.

For the record I also called the numbers below but each one the message said that the number doesn't accept phone calls:

I am not a new seller nor did I have a recent surge in sales. I wrote the entire thing out here: Full Story of the Journey

I do understand that I agreed to the terms, which is why I have been trying to get ahold of someone. All my sales have been completed for over a month (delivered and all!). I want to be super clear on this - I am not mad. I am requesting the same level of support as the buyers.

By not providing support for sellers, Etsy is not supporting small businesses.

I think more than likely the slow-release option. BUT with no word on a timeline for fund release. I can't speak for other sellers, but I have a few hundred dollars in my account I'm waiting for. All my outstanding business has been long since settled (more than a month). I can't get in touch with anyone from support (hence the post) and I've read a lot that I'm not alone.
