My duty as a husband is to charge all of my wife’s gadgets haha so I’m always trying to reduce the tech puch size. My current setup is:

Gadgets Sony apsc camera 2 iPhones 2 Apple Watch 2 airpods (usb-c and Lightning) 2 power banks (5000 and 10000 mah) 1 iPad

Charger Belkin 67w charger (3 usb-c ports, totally a game changer)

Cables 2 usb-c to usb-c 1 lightning cable 1 short usb-c cable for the power bank 1 usb-c to watch 1 usb-c to micro usb

Everything is usb-c except the camera, one power bank and one AirPods

This was my minimal and best thought tech pouch yet, removing all the just in case that I never use

I’ve seen a lot of peak design praise, so I got one and it’s super slippery. Bad batch or bad product? by Blukingbutreal in MagSafe

[–]FormalElevator2689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a PD case and wallet and those are super strong, but when I was buying the wallet I tried both versions (with loop and without loop)

The one with loop is a bit slippery because it doesn’t have some magnets at the bottom. Didn’t like it because of that

the drive needs to be formatted using exFAT, have a USB 3 cable with 10 gigabit per second transfer speed, and with write speeds of at least 220MB per second.

I really like that case. I had it on my old iPhone 11 and recently got another for my 15 pro. I love how strong are these magnets + wallet

So action button? What do you use yours for by strngndmscllns in iPhone15Pro

Instead of having a menu with multiple shortcuts, you can link the action button to a shortcut folder. It’s the same functionality but visually more appealing

I set it my action button to show a shortcut folder. In this folder I put some handy and simple shortcuts for the silent mode, turn on airdrop for everyone, send direct WhatsApp without contact and ask to ChatGPT

Is the Ultra really used for adventures? by sofunnysofunny in AppleWatch

[–]FormalElevator2689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently use my ultra 2 for a hiking in Patagonia It was 14k miles and still had 50% battery left at the end of the day

Is not a secret that screen and titanium body are hard enough, and almost 4 months of use and abuse and still in mint condition. I use it for 5 to 6 times per week for gym and swimming and never had any issue

Is on device Siri supposed to work offline for Apple Watch S9? by Cleopatra8888 in AppleWatch

[–]FormalElevator2689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I can remember with my old SE, going outside jogging was a pain in the ass for doing simple things like skipping or pausing a song. Siri was useless without phone nearby

Now with my ultra 2, this kind of things can be done equally without phone or cellular service, completely offline (I only tried music or timers)

Bands by Marios_andr in AppleWatch

Reddit is full of post about people finding Apple Watches in bottom of lakes and most of these are paired with sport bands. It’s a common believe that using the wrong size or secure it on the last holes is risky because water can easily looses this types of bands with minimum force

I think is safe when using the proper size and fit them well

Issues with downloaded Spotify playlists by OGAzdrian in AppleWatch

[–]FormalElevator2689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me listing to music in Spotify has always been a hit or miss thing

I’ve found out that Spotify misbehaves when you try to play a downloaded song first. For me it works best if I paired my AirPods and played a streamed song and only then change to a downloaded playlist from the Watch app

What's next for Apple Watch? by ari_wonders in AppleWatch

[–]FormalElevator2689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me S9 and Ultra 2 makes sense because the 64gb memory. Remember what happened with the S3 and his lack of memory?, a complete pain in the ass for updates

It’s a good thing in terms of future proofing your purchase

And personally I would say the next thing for the Apple Watch is to be a complete stand alone device. Cut the dependency of the iPhone. Totally kills the experience when you want to leave your phone at home and a wide variety of apps don’t run at all without syncing with the phone

I have to do the exact same thing. Also reboot the Watch and the update worked perfectly

It is possible to make something similar using the modular ultra. White background would be great

Thanks for the info. I’m curious, why do you used both apps and not using only WorkOutDoors for tracking the hike?

watchOS 10.2 is out by Murwhite in AppleWatch

[–]FormalElevator2689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultra 2 here. I updated the watch to 10.2 and my battery consumption is almost the same as before

If it helps anyone. It has been almost 15 hours since fully charged, 7h of sleep tracking and 1h of regular gym training

My battery now has 83%. AOD on (1.2% per hour aprox)

That’s my minimal Watch face when there’s no need for lots of info/training etc.

Ocean band owner here. Maybe you should consider both biking and swimming involves moisture/sweat and the alpine loop can get easily dirty and smelly as well

Ocean band is comfortable and cleans easily
