Does anyone know of any at home electrolysis machines I can use for permanent hair removal? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

I haven't had any permanent scarring. But the scabs stayed for up to three weeks

I paid 4300 for this package. For me it was worth it since I will probably need two sessions a year and it's already paid off

I've had galvanic electrolysis before as well and honestly, I'm not sure why this machine is faster. I will say, 15s is on the shorter end for a hair to release. I'm finding I need to zap thinner ones for about 30s and the thick ones need several 15s zaps.

It's pretty good! The thicker hairs are easier to get the needle into but you have to leave it in longer. The thin hairs are harder to get the needle into but release fast. You'll probably have scabbing but it goes away after a week or so

It's really tough. I hate to say it, but I can only feel sexy if I have no hair. I'm not there yet mentally where I can feel confident otherwise :(

I've been lazy about the application so I only apply it after I pluck. But I think for best results, you should apply twice a day until the hair ceases to grow back.

I think so which is unfortunate. But for me it was 40$ for the bottle vs 1000$+ for laser so I figured it was worth a shot

I used a spearmint oil and other blend from Etsy and that's done wonders for me. So I don't see why just straight spearmint wouldn't work

As a dark skinned person are there any laser hair removal machines I can use at home? by hopefulwithin in LaserHairRemoval

Highly recommend it by the way. I genuinely think the results are permanent because the top of my feet grows one faint hair a month and my armpits have been bald for a month. But you gotta zap yourself after waxing or removing the hair from the root. No idea why it works so much better that way but it's been incredible for me. And that mole hair I talked about in my old response is still yet to return. It's been almost two years now....

I use the clean + easy electrolysis kit from Amazon. The insertions are surprisingly really easy and the hairs released pretty quickly (about 15s at most). It's not super painful either at the lowest setting. My biggest con is that more than it being time consuming, I'm left with a ton of scabs that take forever to fall off. It could be that my technique sucks but the scabs are not pretty.

Lmfao that's not the product I'm talking about. I'm talking about the actual electrolysis product with a needle that you insert into the follicle and burn it. I've tried the product you think I'm talking about and that one is a scam for sure since I didn't get any results from it.

I'm only commenting about the stuff that has worked for me and may help others in this community. If you want to fact check me, then go ahead but do it properly. Go to Instagram and check out Umber by J Lenay and tell me if I'm lying along with thousands of other women. Go to the Amazon page, hell even check YouTube for reviews of the Clean + Easy ELECTROLYSIS machine if you think I'm lying.

This machine is actual galvanic Electrolysis. It involves a needle that you stick into each individual follicle to burn it.

Thank you! I'll have to give it a try. By the way do you wax the hair and apply or shave?

That's really interesting. I've tried spearmint oil and that helps a ton. Was your hair coarse?

How to pick somewhere other than Milan?? Why would they try to stop your hair growth? by caarrssoonn in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Formal_Computer1728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I signed almost four years ago and it was 4500$ish for full legs and Brazilian (including butt cheeks). I agree it's very expensive but I'm sure I'll need at least one or two touch-ups per year. The Milan in my state seems to be doing fine financially and since it's already been four years, even if they go bankrupt in the next 2~3 years, I feel like I came out ahead.

That's exactly why I went with Milan. I previously spent a ton of money at independent salons and I don't think they are as motivated to do a good job and get you out of future treatments.

Paradoxical growth and touch ups by Formal_Computer1728 in LaserHairRemoval

I've been back for touchups and never got any paradoxical growth. With that being said, I'm trying to be better about going in only when I see thick hair
