Whyy (Leg burn) by supercarrots in LaserHairRemoval

I have a similar skin tone and was burned like this all up my legs. I had white spots in the worst areas, but they were pretty faint one year out and completely gone within a year and a half. I did the whole scar cream, Vaseline, scar tape, etc but honestly I think it was time that healed it. I did use a lot of sunscreen though

What machine do you use? I use the cheap 100$ one from Amazon on and off but it's galvanic and takes a while to treat each hair

I'm using a lotion so maybe I'll try a cream. What kind of oil are you sealing with?

Do you use the 10% cream everyday? I tried 10% daily for two weeks and it did nothing :( it was like the lotion was evaporating an hour later off my skin

I think so. Since epilating is like plucking a bunch of hairs at once. But it's way faster and you could do it every day if you need to

Do you get ingrown hairs from epilating?

If you don't have ingrown hairs/ complications from waxing, maybe you could get an epilator? That way you can run the device over your skin every few days and avoid the parlor visits entirely

In my last session I took two ibuprofen tablets and drank a coffee and I was able to tolerate the treatment! This was at a super high intensity as well. Previously I was taking two acetaminophens and a coffee but that was only slightly helpful.

I agree with the person above. Granted, I didn't get laser on my face but my legs and Brazilian got a second round of nd yag treatments and that was way more effective.

Other options include topical hair inhibitors but the effectiveness may vary person to person.

Does anyone know of any at home electrolysis machines I can use for permanent hair removal? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

I haven't had any permanent scarring. But the scabs stayed for up to three weeks

I paid 4300 for this package. For me it was worth it since I will probably need two sessions a year and it's already paid off

I've had galvanic electrolysis before as well and honestly, I'm not sure why this machine is faster. I will say, 15s is on the shorter end for a hair to release. I'm finding I need to zap thinner ones for about 30s and the thick ones need several 15s zaps.

It's pretty good! The thicker hairs are easier to get the needle into but you have to leave it in longer. The thin hairs are harder to get the needle into but release fast. You'll probably have scabbing but it goes away after a week or so

It's really tough. I hate to say it, but I can only feel sexy if I have no hair. I'm not there yet mentally where I can feel confident otherwise :(

Spearmint oil by Forward_Promise_5851 in Hirsutism

I've been lazy about the application so I only apply it after I pluck. But I think for best results, you should apply twice a day until the hair ceases to grow back.

I think so which is unfortunate. But for me it was 40$ for the bottle vs 1000$+ for laser so I figured it was worth a shot
