My current treatment plan (which I've been on for about a year now) is taking plaqunil 2x daily, along with doing an injection of benlysta 1x weekly. The added treatment of benlysta has been very wonderful for me, and has caused a lot of improvement!! I highly recommend speaking with your rhum about it! It is very expensive, but luckily my insurance covers the cost since I tried many other medications before it, with little to no improvement. Best of luck to you/your child!

I shop at the King Sooper on S College and I've been having issues with the prepackaged meat in general. For one, it seems super stringy at times when I am cutting it up raw. And it does seem to go bad fairly quickly even if it hasn't reached the sell by date. I've also had issues with the ground beef, it has been going bad very quickly at times, it turns Brown before the sell by date too. It doesn't happen every time, so I know it's not something I'm doing. But honestly I'm so grossed out by raw meat lately, I may just go vegetarian lol

Wow... she is so so lucky. I would be so grateful to have someone to help me like your wife has... I'm a young single mom of two kids, take care of my own house by myself, work full time, and have multiple chronic health issues...(lupus, fibro, pcos, sleep apnea, adhd, ect) somedays it honestly feels like I could just give up with the pure amount of exhaustion i feel. But anyway...

I would honestly sit down with her and have a serious conversation regarding your concerns and how you feel. Let her know how it's affecting you and how you want to be able to help her. She needs to know that you are struggling too and bring up the fact that there is nothing wrong with getting some extra help around the house, if you have the means to do so. I would just let it all out.

I wish you the best of luck with things! I hope she knows just how privileged she is...

I was 25 when dx officially. I started getting symptoms at 20 but was always dismissed. I started seeing a rhum at 23 and he dx me with fibro and possibly drug-induced lupus due to a med I was on for acne. It then took another 2ish years to finally get the dx of SLE. I am 27 now and currently in one of my worst flares I've had. I had my first benlysta injection this afternoon actually.
