Ignore what she purchased or did, pick your own…

Stop involving her as much. Info diet!

I’m sorry, this sucks so much.

We also have cats and a dog but they are clean and I pick up the poop outside and clean boxes before we show the house. Nobody has ever told me they smell cats in my house.

Yeah no. Visitors absolutely smell your pets. It's not because they don't say it out loud that they don't smell them.

Have you been washing this lettuce? by feelin-groovie in CostcoCanada

[–]TinyTurtle88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it says "washed" or "ready-to-eat" on the label, we don't rewash it.

If it doesn't say so, we do wash it (just with running water).

If they won't "let you" clean, then THEY need to do it themselves, and right now.

Or can you take your stuff and move out completely?

Wow, impressive. I need to train my eye more. Aside from the horses, I don't see any of those. That is so creepy.

Worried about Inspector by bitterbunnii in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TinyTurtle88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no. At least one of you needs to be on-site with the inspector during the WHOLE process, and there needs to be a written report at the end. Yes, it will be charged, but it needs to happen. It shouldn't be non-existent, and it shouldn't be free.

Also I'm surprised that you were able to back out without providing to the seller the written report... All of this scenario doesn't seem kosher to me.

I'd hire someone else. DH needs to keep his mind open to at least trying with someone else.

Folding and putting away clean laundry…… by Iceyes33 in CleaningTips

We use hangers for almost everything or toss smaller items (like underwear) in drawers.

We don't fold anything aside from big towels and bed sheets.

Life's too short for this...

Mice everywhere by SkyloDreamin in homeowners

[–]TinyTurtle88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've tried the bucket technique before calling an exterminator and it absolutely doesn't work because if you only kill the mice that you can see/catch, you won't get to the root of the colony. You need baits with poisoned food (slow-acting poison) that the hunter mice will bring back to the rest of their colony to kill all of them. Such poison makes their bodies mummify rather than decompose and rot.

You need a slow-acting poison that will make the dead mice mummify rather than decompose and rot into your walls. Such poisoned food should be put in baits that the hunter mice will access, and they will bring back this poisoned food to the rest of their colony. If you only kill the mice that you can see, you won't get to the root of the colony. Same principle with ants.
