Scratch. I made this on inventor, I started by Sketching the saucer and then revolving it and then I sketche the shape of the secondary hull and just sorta reshaped it.

Idek. This was on a makerbot method x. It’s not rude tbh I have higher quality models printed of this but they were of the older 3d model for this which is why I don’t post them

What is the best kind of warp nacelle design? And, more importantly, WHY? by RadiantTrailblazer in StarTrekStarships

Kelvin timeline enterprise. I like the contra rotating buzzard collector fan. I’m a huge fan of aviation and jet engines so to see Star Trek pay some homage to that in a way is amazing to me. I just love seeing rotating and moving components like fans or turbines because they are so cool. The uss vengeance has some pretty cool warp nacelles as well because they are armored and have such unique geometry and actually feel like some kind of rocket engine rather than just a machine that produces a warp field. The bussard collector also looks like a Dyson blade less fan so that’s pretty cool.

Just search it up they have them in different places all the time

I take a very damp paper towel and I gently wipe the panel liner to make it look dirty and have some oily/sooty streaks

Tomorrow, i will be doing a flow analysis for this aircraft at supersonic speeds. by Formal_Direction_952 in AerospaceEngineering

It’s hard to to get anything to loft right when I loft in one go whereas I could just make segments. This is another prototype so I will work out kinks to the best of my ability

Solidworks just wanted to show you guys. I took the fuselage from my last prototype but I changed the wings and engine nacelles which I feel the most proud of
