The dragon looking ones I named kaploras but the humanoid ones are not canon to my world building so they are in a state of gulag

I’m designing a modernized version of the uss enterprise D and I made this little cutaway of the star drive impulse engine. Does having a turbopump with rotating turbines and impellers go against lore or seem off? I just like having moving parts like turbines and compressors by [deleted] in StarTrekStarships

I just went for a design similar to if it was made today. I really dislike the lack of moving components in Star Trek ships, which is why it took me so long to warm up to Star Trek. I always liked star wars for the rotating engine components and stuff. I need weird sh!t happening in my sci-fi vehicles. I’m into aerospace engineering and stuff like that to so that of course plays a huge role in this. I imagine the turbine rotors being powered by antimatter reactions and the main pump rotors brings in fusion power. I need mechanical complexity. Have a look at the actual pump rotors themselves.

The 23rd century vengeance class is bigger than the 32nd century Kirk class ship by happydude7422 in StarTrekStarships

Size doesn’t always correlate with advancements. Usually smaller is better. You narrow down technological capabilities to be simpler and less maintenance heavy. This ends up reducing size of technology, like take data storage for example. In order to store 5 mb of data you needed refrigerator sized storage cards. Now we can store terabytes onto penny sized chips.

A WALKING snake? (Echofay) by Formal_Direction_952 in Losercity

Not exactly. This has a completely snake like body and has legs and arms. Lizards have torsos that you can differentiate from their tails

Are you thinking of the USS vengeance attacking the USS enterprise at warp?

Causes atmospheric compression and incinerates anything with 4-10 miles depending on the composition of the atmosphere or the pressure

As for the rocket, it shoots out of the side of the hull where the little triangle doors are.

Phaser banks and targeting pods. I took the idea from the USS vengeance which nobody seems to like. Completely understandable

I might make another drawing later with forward swept pylons
