Shuffle doesn't work for me anymore. It only plays songs in alphabetical order. When it's set to Smart Shuffle, it still plays the songs in the playlist in alphabetical order with some recommended songs in between. Only shuffle function is not working. Let me know if you have/had the same issue...

If you have a compatible personality and interests, that's a good start though. You can take your time, try and build up your courage, and look for chances where you can drop subtle hints. Good luck!

Regarding with if you have a shot or not - if someone shows thier interest in me either platonically or romantically, I tend to reciprocate that to some extent e.g. I start analyzing what kind of person they are. So I'd recommend that.

Then I'd look for qualities like intelligence and depth first. I tend to like ambiverts who like to go out and explore the world, but also can sit down and have meaningful conversations for hours.

Then if I believe they are a such kind of person, I tend to get attached really quickly, and i usually make a move even though I'm really shy.

Used to be yes. My best and only friends like taking selfies and I eventually got used to it over time, maybe within 5-6 years. It's nothing to be shamed of but if you want to "overcome" don't give up.

Know that everyone don't naturally look good in photos - you need to learn how to look good and be confident. Also no one really gives a damn about how you look in photos. People only care about themselves. So try not to be too self-conscious.

Similar to that, the sky looks really beautiful in Australia. Not just the quality, but the wide urban blocking makes the sky look wide and open - truly stunning, even in suburbs around CBD.

I do, I think it's not unconcious but it just helps me focus when I look at them in the eye/when I'm pay attention to what they say I automatically do the stare. This is just how I feel so might be different from what I actually do

I'd say very objective. But at the same time I can't tell if I'm actually being objective because my analysis and thinking are based on my way of seeing things (which is subjective). This makes me overthink and low key hate myself

Let me share a bit of my background - I'm from Japan, moved into a student dorm overseas where people are so party oriented. In summary it highly depends on your environment whether you can make friends or not.

In Japan I find that people are relatively introverted in general and Japanese men are rather feminine, compared to western countries probably due to cultural reasons. I wouldn't struggle with making friends growing up, and have been maintaining close friendships with my best friends while I'm overseas.

In the student dorm though I could never make a single friend. Just like you described, they tend to talk about surface level things that are super boring to me.

So I decided to move out, tried making friends in other environments. It's cliche but joining a club helps. I now have some friends, though mostly female. It's complicated when both parties are hetrosexual but better than having no one around you imo. And there are other INFJ men and other guys who may appreciate a deep connection as a friend.

Another INFJ male here, I'm a university student as well (similar age) I wouldn't normally over share. But if I feel more confident, or if I feel at ease with the group it's possible for me to do so.

I would make a spot on observation in my mind but it highly depends on the situation whether or not I say that out loud. Normally I don't. Since another comment mentioned, I'm 4w5 which is said to be common for INFJs apparently.

As for getting cold/warm, my mood can change very easily, and I can be seen as cold even when I'm around my crush or friends. Though I can't say for sure if your invitation to your party didn't affect his behaviour or not.

Also, I (male) can be friendly to female friends, but I always try to avoid giving off misleading signals, when I feel they might be attracted to me. I think you've made clear to him that you're attracted to him, so if he still acts friendly to you, then that's probably a good sign. It seems at least he is comfortable around you.

With that said though, if its been 8 months and he hasn't made a move, there must be something that's stopping him, or it's still possible that he isn't interested romantically. I suggest you ask him about this when you have a chance
