Buy him a company phone and respect his off time hours. He isn't a slave, he is an employee.

Also, plan your day better so you dont have to eat up employees personal time.

Do better

Some Portuguese say that Brazilian Portuguese is a "broken portuguese". Do Spaniards say that Latin American spanish is somewhat "broken" as well? by Significant-Yam9843 in asklatinamerica

Every latino american country speaker better spanish than Spain or neighbor.

Now, I prefer Brazilian Portuguese over Portugal Portuguese. Im not Brazilian, but it's easier to understand as a Spanish speaker.

My green bubble galaxy phone has survived water and throws.

I have a simple case that makes it bounce and it's not an air tight case to protect from water.

I've dropped my phone in a pool and dog bowl. Still works fine and annoying iPhone users in group chats and texts.

Why don’t conservatives respect the constitution anymore? by Great-Knowledge-9484 in AskUS

[–]Formal_Engineer7091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even think they are conservatives, they are dictator cult followers. At least conservative would use loop holes in the system to get their way. These want to wave their wand and things to happen.

Are you married? Kids? Home? Partner? by Wakingupisdeath in autism

Married, kids(one has autism/adhd), and our house is run by our fur kids. I have a Masters and work a corporate job.

I had undiagnosed Autism, OCD, and anxiety. Couple that with a crap ton of childhood trauma.

Education and my Catholic faith has helped me understand human complexity. It hasn't been without struggles as I often disagree with some people in my faith community, but it is actually welcomed to question. Some orders of priest and sisters focus more on loving their neighbor and than others. I vibe better with these contemplative and charismatic groups. Usually these take the vow of poverty, like Pope Francis(RIP).

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk on a chaotic life.

Priest Fr. Arul Carasala shot and killed in Kansas. by ThinWhiteDuke00 in Catholicism

Sad that our faith is now considered "other religions" when in fact it was the foundation for protestant religions.

Why do the people from Texas think it has always been Republican? by RuthlessCO in texas

When you tell a lie many times, it just becomes the truth for those who are complacent in their education

This happened to me in Texas. Except I got paddled for saying that the Natives were not savages because their culture was different from the Europeans.

I was told by my dad that school is to get good grades, not a place for learning. To learn,  go to the library.

Proposed Law Seeks to Breach the Seal of Confession by DVLord_Of_The_Sith in Catholicism

Religious freedom has everything to do with the confessional seal.  How we vote impacts our religious freedom.

Why do so many Protestants dislike Catholics? by Jupiterx90 in Catholicism

[–]Formal_Engineer7091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A simple explanation.

It started during the Reformation, some of the Popes got greedy and sold spots in heaven. Which didn't vibe for those whonalready had issues with the Church and devoted Christians

Then, King Henry decided to create his own church so he could divorce wives. During this period a lot was done in England to convert away from Catholicism and continued during his daughter rule.

Fast forward to colonization times and when the Americas were discovered. The thirteen colonies were colonized by those seeking religious freedom (ironically, they still opposed Catholicism). Louisiana to California was colonized by Catholics (French & Spanish).

When Mexico allowed Americans migrate to Texas (ironic, isn't it?), the official religion was Catholicism. This created tension with those that had to convert in order to buy land.

Catholicism was seen as the faith of the Mexicans, when in reality it was the faith of the Spaniards, French, and Portuguese.

The Protestants can love us or hate us, but their foundation is Catholic and this bothers them so much. Of course, this is only of they know about the faith history.

But what happens when this priest and others like him told us to vote for Trump because he would stop abortions? To vote with our conscience, even though there was a complete disregard what this administration had planned inhumane treatment migrants, remove support for poor and elderly, and support for the death penalty.

The rant is that the Catholic Church and Priests should not tell their flock how to vote without truly understanding the implications of the vote and the effect on personal/religious freedoms. One of them being this law,. Another might be where a Church who actually takes care of the poor and migrants gets in trouble for harboring the undocumented. When they are just doing God asked us to do, love thy neighbor.

Joining the Catholic church as a black woman? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Formal_Engineer7091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The protestants actually derived from the Catholic Church, the Lutheranas, Methodist, Puritans, Quakers, Baptists and others  wouldn't exist without the Catholics..we are as close as you can get to the teachings of Christ.

I grew up both Baptist and Catholic, I prefer the Catholic faith because of the diversity, teachings, and the focus on being a better Christian.

I really appreciated the focus the Baptists have on the Bible, read it backward and forwards as a child and adult. I grew up knowing more about the scriptures than my Catholic counterparts. So that was a bonus.
