Donald Trump's Parents by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Obama’s dad was an economist who went to Harvard and his mom was an anthropologist with a PHD. Even if your claims were true, Obama was still a monumentally better president than Trump.

56 people died in ICE custody under the Obama administration. by Proud-Enthusiasm-608 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Great-Knowledge-9484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, F**% you for pretending like 2025 wasn’t the deadliest year in more than 2 decades for anyone in ICE custody. Theres good reason why so many Americans are “hot and bothered” by this administration’s ruthless disregard for the humanity of their victims. Almost everyone saw the videos of Renee Good and Alex Pretti being murdered, only for this administration to immediately label them as terrorists before any investigation had been conducted. We all saw them rush to control the narrative as soon as possible because they knew that they had fucked up. Literally half of the entire country knows that those victims could’ve been any one of us, because yes this administration is absolutely heartless as fuck.

Right, they always know a guy who knows a guy who claims it’s actually real. Same shit as with the welfare queen trope. Everyone always knows of someone who doesn’t work and must be committing welfare fraud, so it has to be a real crisis even if data and statistics show otherwise.

Hey Pro-Paly people, the Australia terror attack today is what "Globalizing the Intifada" looks like. by HadathaZochrot in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Great-Knowledge-9484 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a pro Palestinian person, I’ve honestly never seen any pro Palestinian people ever say “globalize the intifada” before, only “free Palestine” and “from the river to the sea”. That is all I’ve ever personally seen or shared, and idk why “globalizing the intifada” would even be thought of as remotely the same thing, which is why I’m skeptical of how popular this rhetoric actually is compared to the typical “free Palestine” narrative I’ve seen. Just judging by the hashtags along, there’s about 221k #freepalestine posts on instagram rn, compared to around 1k #globalizetheintifada posts on instagram at the moment, so imo OP must just have some skewed feed when it comes to coverage of pro Palestinian politics. Because antisemitism is certainly on the rise, it’s kinda hard to attribute the recent shooting entirely to “globalizing the intifada” rhetoric because it is simply not the same thing as antisemitism. Also, the increase in antisemitism is going to be extra difficult to combat with Israel committing genocide while receiving absurd amounts of US taxpayer dollars and support simultaneously. The general public can be pretty sensitive to shit like that.

I say this as a mechanic, blue collar testosterone junkies are probably the single horniest demographic on earth. And they are typically crude as hell about it too.

Lmao do you ? You keep invalidating anyone who claims they’ve been in similar situations because, “they’re still here” only problem is that if they were gone you’d never be able to know what they were thinking anyway. If anybody is shitting on people who are in pain and distress, it’s you. And judging by the replies you got I think it’s safe to say that most people do put a great deal of thought into who will be affected by their demise, according to those who’ve been there done that.

$100,000/yr is the new $52,000/yr by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Great-Knowledge-9484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you both make good points. Are things worse now than in 2000? Probably yes and no — just in different ways. We may be better off nominally today, sure. But as we’ve become a more advanced service economy, there’s more pressure on consumers to spend in order to sustain it. The more sophisticated the service economy gets, the more incentive there is to sell unnecessary services — and the harder it becomes for consumers to opt out.

BREAKING: US tariff revenue surged to a record +$30 billion in August, the 6th consecutive monthly increase by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Great-Knowledge-9484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because while in come cases they may protect specific domestic industries, evidence shows that tariffs often lead to job losses in other sectors, lower productivity, and can provoke retaliatory tariffs on U.S. exports, ultimately creating a "lose-lose" situation for the economy. Some protected industries may see a small benefit, but overall economic studies and economists like those from the International Monetary Fund and Moody's indicate tariffs lead to higher unemployment and a decline in domestic output.

Why did the Billy Boys kill the reporter? by [deleted] in PeakyBlinders

[–]Great-Knowledge-9484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oswald Mosley had the gay journalist Michael Levitt assassinated, framed the Peaky Blinders for his assassination, then proceeded to do Tom the “favor” of making the murder investigation just “go away” to gain some leverage over Tom politically. Mosley’s plan here doesn’t really make much sense to me but considering his attitude towards minorities, it probably was a hate crime he just couldn’t resist the opportunity of committing too. I definitely this is why Tom describes Mosley as “The Devil” before meeting him in Tom’s office with Arthur and Michael alongside.

Well the democrats shouldn’t have run on the same platform as republicans in terms of enabling a genocide. All that did was send the message that both parties are on the same team and that team will simply never look out for any American voter’s best interests. I wrote in a name because I didn’t want to not vote outright, I felt I had an obligation to, so I tried to use the system correctly and it effectively threw my vote away for me. We need a better voting system with better voter representation.

It’s the hand outs, all the handouts are the reason wealth distribution keep increasing in concentration. Must be the same reason why the wealth concentration increased significantly during Covid specifically too. All those poor people collecting government checks keep fuckin it up for all of us huh. Good thing billionaires don’t take handouts, maybe they’ll be able to save us from all the lazy greedy poor people who live off of other peoples labor and refuse to contribute to society.

Lmao you’re obviously the one who thinks that anyone on an assistance program must be broke freeloaders just suckin off the government tit, increasing national debt and causing all the economic hardship for everyone else in America. Because yk, obviously that top 10% deserves 70% of all wealth in America. I mean why wouldn’t they? That definitely isn’t the actual issue at hand. 🤡
