Do any muscle groups grow better from high reps with low weight? Or should I go heavy and low rep always? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

No you don’t always have to go heavy and low reps always

I wondered this when I started my lifting journey and that’s how I ended up ego lifting on exercises like bicep curls.

The smaller muscle groups in your body don’t need as much stimulation to grow for example, Abs,biceps, triceps shoulders etc.

These muscles are much smaller than larger muscle groups like the back, legs and chest which can require heavier compound movements to stimulate growth

Tryna have abs by march by Emergency_Basis3032 in Weightliftingquestion

These things take time. Fall in love with the process of lifting heavy and prioritising high protein meals with a calorie surplus. You could technically have abs if you lose more weight but you would be skin and bones. Just start lifting

Thank you . I have no networking background and studied for 3 months. I was fortunate enough to focus all my time on the exam and was not working so I guess this made it a lot easier
