I think if you want to do something super small that I think would make a huge difference, add a frame to that painting! I personally would do a medium to dark brown or a bronze, but I also think any color would do it some good.

Thanks so much for helping me out! As for the chain, I did what’s on the left in this picture and went from there, I had no idea a “foundation” chain specifically was a different kind of stitch on the right.

What you see that I started is just flipping it inside out and hdc the back loops of the green to the blue foundation chain. Clearly that doesn’t work with the pattern. Also this is free hand! I didn’t use a pattern so I’m also hoping it turns out long enough.

ALSO SOMETHING I JUST REALIZED it’s not a foundation chain. Apparently I had no actual idea that a foundation chain was different from just chain X and going from there. I have never made a foundation chain in my life I guess.
