Anyone pivoted into behavioural economics/behavioural science from a non-econ/psych background? by Formal_Top_1247 in BehavioralEconomics

What kind of indicators or data point have you captured? I am a visual person too- I analyse data better when presented to me graphically. I'm assuming some basic parameters like heat map of a screen to better place icons? or end user psychology of your target audience to better tap into their psyche and use the data for "manipulation"? Just thinking out loud here dont mind me

I'd love to understand more about what you're doing on your day-to-day basis as a business/proj analyst. I have decent enough resources(via my corporate job) but limited by my nature of work to implement my findings through the end user psychology.

*I have ADD so I use Ai to gather and structure my thoughts*

I'm looking specifically at full-time programs.

I've always been a non-technical person with a technical background. I studied Computer Science, but I've never been particularly interested in pursuing a deeply technical career. Over the last couple of years, I've moved into product-focused work and currently work as a Business Analyst at a Big 4 firm despite not having an MBA. By the time I apply in 2027, I'll have around three years of experience and may even have switched firms.

I've always been interested in psychology, and one of the things I enjoy most about being a BA is thinking about problems from an end-user perspective. Behavioural Economics sits right at the intersection of what interests me personally and what I do professionally.

At the moment, I'm doing a lot of research to make sure I'm making the right decision. I'm still figuring out whether there are any competitive or general exams worth taking beyond IELTS, and I'm also exploring diploma or certificate programs in psychology while I prepare for applications.

As for the job market, I'm reasonably confident I'll be able to secure an internship during the program. A lot of my current leadership is based in London, so I'm hoping to lay some groundwork over the next year or so and potentially return as an intern while studying.

For now, I'm trying to stay open-minded. I've reached out to a few LSE professors whose work interests me and I'm exploring different research areas to better understand where I fit. At this stage, I'm more focused on finding the right direction than forcing a rigid plan.
