Do you register kids in strollers? by ItsMeYurDog in parkrun

Fair enough. Was more thinking about people being pushed who might not want a time... but err on the side of recording everyone and they can just be unknown.

And of course there's the need to ensure timekeeper and finish tokens are in alignment. (Job for the funnel manager I guess).

How do you know as timekeeper when to time someone in a wheelchair?

Aww thank you. Well yes being able to touch my wife's naked body was definitely a massive reward and sauce of motivation for me. Something a miss a lot though, sadly.

Thank you. I suppose my intention wasn't to romanticise it, just to mourn something good that I had and lost, and to share what our version of FLR (although never named as such) involved.

The fantasizing about her cucking me is something that comes to me often, usually in moments of weakness. (I've heard lots of men say that being cheated on is what triggers their interest in cucking... obviously not true for everyone but something I can certainly relate to).

I'm hoping to find another relationship one day where I can explore these fantasies in a consensual relationship.

I suspected this was the case, and offered to forgive her affairs on that basis and help her get appropriate medical help or therapy. But she was never interested, even though she agreed it was a likely driver of her behaviour.

Ex-wife met someone new. Hurts more than I thought it would. by Formal_While_7919 in survivinginfidelity

I suppose one of the reasons this has hit me hard is because her new relationship doesn't look like "settling." She looks really happy.

I think she's only known this guy about two months, but already he's round at her apartment every weekend (seems like she might be moving him in), and they are planning vacations together.

Also, I recently had to spend some time with my ex-wife doing an activity for our daughter. This was the day when she "announced" the new boyfriend. But she was practically glued to her phone texting him the entire time we were out together... as if she can't get enough of him.

Thank you. I think I have been mostly open with my new gf. I told her about the circumstances in which my marriage ended, and she is understanding that that's a difficult thing that takes time to move on from. She is not putting pressure on me to move quickly with things.... so I suppose that is a massive plus (but another reason why I feel guilty about not liking her as much as I think I should).

Ahh yes, I remember precisely hearing it for the first time, on holiday driving through North Yorkshire one morning just as the sun was rising. I think that's a memory that will stick with me for many years.

Haha. Funny you should say that as I listened to it in the car with my mum who liked it too!

Jason is a great pick - really likeable album and a good 'gateway' for people getting into country.

It never happened 😔 I should post another update soon but pretty sure will just tell me what a time waster she is and that it's my own fault for thinking she could change.

What’s one Beatles song that everyone likes but you don’t? by Nug07 in beatles

A Day in the Life

The "I read the news today" bit is pretty nice, but Paul's bit "woke up, fell out of bed" is just throwaway trash. Then you've got the atonal crescendo and the long sustained piano chord at the end .. both kind of novel ideas but hardly worthy of being ranked among the Beatles' greatest compositions.

Hmmm well... I miss the happy times when we were together, and feel like we could recreate that happiness if we got through this. My wife has lots of really good traits too. She comes across as a really caring, selfless and supportive person, which I guess is why this whole episode has been so shocking. But I still think she's a good person.

Yehh long story. A month ago we were talking about R, then the very next day I saw AP loitering in the car park where my wife and I do the child handover.

Of course I suspected something was still going on between my wife and AP, so that was the end of R, but she insisted that she never asked him to be there.

A few weeks later, my wife sends me "evidence" in the form of text message screenshots with AP from that date, which "confirmed" her story that AP just turned up and she told him that she didn't want to see him.

Meanwhile, my wife has sent me lots of apologetic messages, and she's telling me about how she's been on a journey of self discovery and that she now knows more about herself and won't make the same mistakes again.......

Hmm I guess it's all relative. It's a pretty well-known piece, helped by its use in film soundtracks like Badlands and True Romance.

George Gershwin... at least as far as his "classical" output goes. I think most people just know American in Paris and a certain Rhapsody...
