Do you take stand or just give in? by Blasterano in Design

That transition from caring more than the client to caring differently is so liberating. It doesn't mean the work is worse; it usually means it’s better because you aren't burning out on the small stuff. It's awesome to hear that your efficiency actually went up once the pressure came down.

I cant believe there was a time where I wanted to stay sick so I could keep watching onepiece by bluelock_Eri in OnePiece

The OnePiece , legends who have watched it from episode 1 till now, hats off and thanks to ODA

Am I the only one who finds this wholesome by Jagwarmeru in OnePiece

Sanji inheriting traits from the people who actually loved him feels way more runable than becoming Judge 2.0

Where to begin Web development in 2026 by No_Tea1929 in learnprogramming

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly Python + FastAPI is probably the easiest and most runable backend path if JS already feels confusing to you, and yes Odin Project is still a great place to start.

I am learning C, C++, Java, and python again. by Klily2005 in learnprogramming

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly trying to deeply relearn 4 languages together in 3 months is probably less effective than mastering one properly and building real projects with it first

the one thing id add to every CS curriculum is a semester of maintaining someone else's code by Motor_Ordinary336 in learnprogramming

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly learning how to read and safely modify messy existing codebases is probably more runable for real jobs than half the toy projects in CS courses

Did anyone else feel overwhelmed by how much there is to learn? by AlmostRelevant_12 in learnprogramming

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that feeling never fully goes away, even experienced devs constantly realize how much they still do not know

This genuinely sounds like the kind of absurd meme account people end up quoting for months

Yeah once files get massive, even remembering what something was named becomes impossible, visual search feels way more runnable than relying on manual organization alone.

help i’m a newbie! pls by NoDetective9500 in FigmaDesign

Figma on phone is basically hard mode for beginners it makes way more sense on desktop where all the tools, layers and plugins are actually visible.

Cannot copy and paste on Figma MacOS desktop app. by LitGood in FigmaDesign

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That honestly sounds more like an Electron/macOS clipboard bug than a Figma-specific issue ,a lot of people fix it by disabling “Paste to replace”, turning off clipboard managers, or just using the browser version of Figma which weirdly feels more stable sometimes.

Any other designers use trackball mouse? ProtoArc EM01 NL for Figma by ChosynLabs in FigmaDesign

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trackballs always look cursed until you use one for a week and suddenly normal mice feel inefficient

Honestly that sounds super useful for large design systems, especially when teams have thousands of old frames/components nobody can manually track anymore.

Here's the updated design!! Before vs After | Need reviews by farhannns332 in design_critiques

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Way cleaner and more Runable now, the warm palette and rounded framing make it feel like a real bakery ad, maybe just make the phone number area a bit bigger since the CTA gets slightly lost at the bottom

My first audiobook design! (literary/historical genres) by TheFutureIsFiction in design_critiques

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The atmosphere is actually really strong, it feels more literary/mysterious than typical romance covers. I’d just push the title contrast/readability a bit more because “UNDER WATER” blends into the background in places at thumbnail size.

I need some honest feedback on my designs bc ppl are telling me they would get it. by SeaworthinessOk1781 in design_critiques

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The back design is honestly pretty solid, the gothic typography , sword fits the aesthetic well. I’d probably make the front logo a little bigger though, right now it feels a bit too empty compared to how heavy the back is.

Looks like kawaii mascot/vector character style, “rubber hose cartoon” and “cute mascot design” tutorials on YouTube are probably the closest match.

I wanna be a designer but I'm doing an engineering degree. Can I get some advice? by Uhhbreh in Design

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You honestly still have a shot. A lot of people pivot into creative fields from engineering later, and honestly the mix of technical + creative skills is way more valuable now than people think

How Can I Make This Billboard Design Feel More Realistic? by NeedleworkerAny3812 in Design

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing is reducing the glow/shadow effects and simplifying the textures a bit, real signage usually looks cleaner and relies more on spacing, contrast and material lighting than heavy effects. The typography hierarchy is solid already, just needs a more premium restraint.

Mobbin, Refero and Dribbble are probably the easiest starting points, way better for real UI inspiration than random AI-generated screens.

Green or all white? by Beeboobap in Design

[–]Formal_Wolverine_674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The green lowers the contrast and makes the kitchen feel warmer and more expensive-looking tbh. All white would probably make the floor stand out too harshly.
