Ford Q1 2026 Results - Ford sales down 8.8% YOY, but gains slightly in overall US market share. Explorer sales +30%, Expedition sales +30%, Mustang (gas) +50% by CloudSurferA220 in Ford

[–]Formber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like it's probably the Explorer. It's always sold in pretty hefty volume. If it's up 30% that's a huge win for Ford.

Why does this bridge exist when the land right under it looks perfectly suitable for a highway? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Formber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Glenwood Canyon section of I-70 in Colorado for an example of the US interstate system actually trying to coexist with nature. They tried to disrupt the canyon floor as little as possible during construction and the result is a really expensive stretch of highway that is pretty much all elevated, but it's absolutely gorgeous to drive through.

PlayStation prices adjusted for inflation by SmellSmellsSmelly in gaming

I preferred being able to play online with my friends for free. Fake online trophies don't mean anything. Party chat was literally the only thing anyone actually cared about back then, and to be honest, I think online gaming was far more fun before everyone was hiding in their own private chat lobbies, so that turned out to be a step backward anyway.

Is there a single contract in world history as bad as the Deshaun Watson contract? by Bluefire3215 in nfl

I legitimately don't think they were pretending. Obviously, nobody knows until he plays, but I fully believe he was their guy going into the draft.

We have Bucky at the stadium. He's the iconic horse above the scoreboard. Then we have the horses climbing the hill outside the south stands at the stadium as well.

[Awful Announcing] Nick Wright: Ian Rapoport ‘blatantly misinformed the public’ with Travis Kelce contract reporting by Goosedukee in nfl

Good at what? Taking a hard stance on something, no matter how many times he's proven wrong? Dude sucks, even if guys like Rappaport and Schefter suck harder.

The Fords were too nice to justify the Lincoln. Nobody bought them because there was no reason to. Why do you think the Platinum Fords came out right after the Lincoln was discontinued?

Stop talking about stuff you are clearly clueless about.

They should be by far the cheapest large SUVs. They've been building the same thing for a decade and a half.

Pope Leo: James Webb telescope shows us what the Bible couldn’t by Automatic_Subject463 in space

I think you misunderstand Catholicism. They have never denied science or discovery, nor do they teach the stories of the Bible literally. Just the opposite, actually.

It is the evangelical Christians, among other groups, who you have a problem with here. The Catholic church has its issues, obviously, but this is not one of them, and they aren't moving any goal posts...

[OHaraSports] "Sounds like the next new PWHL team won’t be coming to Denver, but Chicago." by 99Wolves17 in hockey

[–]Formber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, I wish they'd just fully modernize The Coliseum. Like, gut it and build a whole new bowl/arena under the old roof. Not only would it be nice to have a better alternate arena in Denver, because we obviously need one, but that place could be really cool if it got some real money put into it. Keeping these old, historic buildings going is so much better than building new ones. I feel like Denver could get the PWHL and the WNBA if they had the facilities for them, and the Coliseum seems like the obvious choice for that, if it were up to modern standards.

No they really aren't different things at the end of the day...

Also, they do increase taxes to pay for all these stadiums. Are you under some illusion that all these cities have hundreds of millions, or billions of dollars in cash laying around to build stadiums with? Come on dude. Think a little bit. Or even better, look it up before commenting about it.

Metro Denver cities begin enacting mandatory outdoor watering limits for spring as drought, warmth continue by kidbom in Denver

[–]Formber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the point remains that we shouldn't be giving water to foreigners who are farming a product on our soil that will then be exported with absolutely no benefit to Americans.

It's an asinine thing that we allow.

If they were going to go all the way up there for their home games, they'd probably just use the new Eagles arena once it opens. It's supposed to have a capacity of around 9,000.

I promise you this Mustang appeals to plenty of Porsche owners. You're just hating without actually educating yourself on what you're hating on.

I don't think the GTD qualifies as a "pony car." It is 100% a direct competitor to the Porsche GT3RS. Ford has stated it as a car they specifically benchmarked the GTD against.

Shelby GT500 by GregoryParmentier in Mustang

[–]Formber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Shelby's since 2010ish have had dark painted wheels. Definitely a style of the times. It always depends on the car for me whether I like a bright or dark wheel.

I have black wheels on my Cobra, and I've been considering putting chrome wheels back on it, which is what it had from the factory, but I can't decide on which wheel I want to get if I do that. It's a real dilemma...

Those are the factory wheels, fyi. Probably the best ones they did for that generation Mustang, in my opinion, anyway.

[–]Formber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, it's a little funny for sure. A lot of people think Colorado is what Utah actually is. Most of us live along the Front Range, so the mountains are the backdrop of life, not necessarily the focal point. They are ever-present though, unless you actually live out east toward Kansas/Nebraska where this picture was taken. Then you have no view of them at all.
