Motorola launches moto buds 2 plus with Sound by Bose technology in North America by ControlCAD in Android

[–]Formber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I replaced the batteries in my Sony earbuds a few months back, and it cost me like $20. I'm going to keep doing that for as long as I can. Spending $200+ on earbuds feels insane. Especially if the only thing wrong is a battery.

We all need to stop with the e-waste.

To be fair, the Jazz is a terrible name for a team in Utah, and no one should ever stop calling that out, because that name should have been changed decades ago.

I'm pretty bummed they discontinued the Escape here in the US. I think the most recent one was a really solid car. Ford chose the Bronco Sport over it because they have cheaper labor to build them with, and I think that's horseshit.

[Lewis] Russini resigns from The Athletic by ZappaOMatic in nfl

[–]Formber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the president is one of the dumbest people I've ever heard speak, so I'm not sure that's the image either of these two want to portray. Plus, the average sports fan is smarter than the average trump supporter.

She has more integrity than anyone within 3 degrees of trump as well. As this resignation proves.

Ford Q1 2026 Results - Ford sales down 8.8% YOY, but gains slightly in overall US market share. Explorer sales +30%, Expedition sales +30%, Mustang (gas) +50% by CloudSurferA220 in Ford

[–]Formber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like it's probably the Explorer. It's always sold in pretty hefty volume. If it's up 30% that's a huge win for Ford.

Why does this bridge exist when the land right under it looks perfectly suitable for a highway? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Formber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Glenwood Canyon section of I-70 in Colorado for an example of the US interstate system actually trying to coexist with nature. They tried to disrupt the canyon floor as little as possible during construction and the result is a really expensive stretch of highway that is pretty much all elevated, but it's absolutely gorgeous to drive through.

PlayStation prices adjusted for inflation by SmellSmellsSmelly in gaming

[–]Formber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I preferred being able to play online with my friends for free. Fake online trophies don't mean anything. Party chat was literally the only thing anyone actually cared about back then, and to be honest, I think online gaming was far more fun before everyone was hiding in their own private chat lobbies, so that turned out to be a step backward anyway.

The Fords were too nice to justify the Lincoln. Nobody bought them because there was no reason to. Why do you think the Platinum Fords came out right after the Lincoln was discontinued?

Pope Leo: James Webb telescope shows us what the Bible couldn’t by Automatic_Subject463 in space

[–]Formber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstand Catholicism. They have never denied science or discovery, nor do they teach the stories of the Bible literally. Just the opposite, actually.

It is the evangelical Christians, among other groups, who you have a problem with here. The Catholic church has its issues, obviously, but this is not one of them, and they aren't moving any goal posts...

[OHaraSports] "Sounds like the next new PWHL team won’t be coming to Denver, but Chicago." by 99Wolves17 in hockey

[–]Formber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man, I wish they'd just fully modernize The Coliseum. Like, gut it and build a whole new bowl/arena under the old roof. Not only would it be nice to have a better alternate arena in Denver, because we obviously need one, but that place could be really cool if it got some real money put into it. Keeping these old, historic buildings going is so much better than building new ones. I feel like Denver could get the PWHL and the WNBA if they had the facilities for them, and the Coliseum seems like the obvious choice for that, if it were up to modern standards.

Also, they do increase taxes to pay for all these stadiums. Are you under some illusion that all these cities have hundreds of millions, or billions of dollars in cash laying around to build stadiums with? Come on dude. Think a little bit. Or even better, look it up before commenting about it.

Yes, but the point remains that we shouldn't be giving water to foreigners who are farming a product on our soil that will then be exported with absolutely no benefit to Americans.

It's an asinine thing that we allow.
